Meta skill issue

CoC won't recognize socketed skills for some reason... my friend got this problem and asked me to post it here. here is the picture describing the problem. please help him, he's in serious depression...

Seems to be an issue with all meta skills, Reapers invocation wasn’t working for me all of a sudden and was driving me crazy, good to see it’s not just me!
