Spymaster's lock drop nerfed. 100%

This is not bad RNG.
This is not a luck issue.
I tested this extensively across multiple accounts. I ran my own Temple and compared results with two other friends. Since the last patch, Spymasters are not dropping locks anywhere near previous rates.
Here are the numbers:

5× T3 Spymasters
21 full Temple runs
~110 Spymaster rooms cleared
6 locks total
That is absurd.

Both of my friends, with different Temple setups and different run counts, are seeing the exact same outcome. This change is consistent, not random — and it only started after the patch.

Let’s be honest: this looks like a shadow nerf.

And if it is, it’s incredibly disrespectful to the player base.
This change only hurts casual and mid-playtime players — the people who are still building their Temples. Players who already finished their Temples are completely unaffected. So who exactly is this for?

If the goal was to “protect the economy,” that argument is a joke and doesn’t hold up.

Locks were already gated by time, setup, and effort.

All this does is punish players with limited playtime and remove one of the few rewarding progression paths they still had. What’s the incentive left? Grinding maps for a chance at 1–3 divines while Temple progression is effectively dead?
By the time someone finishes a Temple now, the league will already be over.

If this was intentional, it should have been announced. Doing it silently mid-league is unacceptable. Players plan their league strategy around systems like this.

If this change is meant for balance, implement it next league.
Doing it now only pushes players away — and you know it.

Please revert this change for the current league, or at the very least, address it openly.

Silently gutting a core reward system mid-league is not good design — it’s demoralizing

hope ggg realizes they are loosing player base
Revert patch isn't the solution. The solution is to prevent anyone dont do the snake labyrinth.
the weakening will affect everyone, I had a temple of maximum size, now there is no entry out of 10, there were no locks, respectively, this led to the destabilization of 15+ rooms, it is pointless to continue building the temple.

I believe you — that’s a completely valid point.
My frustration isn’t aimed at players who finished their Temples at all. It’s at GGG for hurting both sides: blocking progression for newer/casual players and invalidating the time investment of players who already built full Temples.
It’s honestly so demoralizing that I don’t even feel like opening PoE right now. I really hope they address and fix this.
I'm getting most of my locks from level 3 smithys.
snake is cancer and ggg is not doing enough.

ggg needs to step up and completely remove medallion locks from the game.

It's possible there's a bug here introduced when fixing one of the several other temple bugs.

These spy mobs get spawned in when the boss is triggered and its easy for them to spawn outside of the room or dash outside the room and I feel like its not allowing the room to actually roll a medallion at all when its cleared.

I agree with that. Yet NOT NOW. too late to fix it now let everyone have what others got already and fix it next league. doing it now killing the league
