Is there a pattern for choosing the base that will be used in the fusion? For example, is the chosen base the one with the most powerful modifier, or something like that? Is there any way to force a specific base to be chosen at the end of the fusion?

It seems to pick the item with the highest of the mods your combining but I don't know if its guaranteed.
