Freeze Buildup

Hello Dear Exiles,

Is freeze buildup depends on damage dealt? or it is just effected by base damage from weapon? Or not affected by damage at all?

If I use suppurt gems like: "increased damage if enemy is on low life" or "icreased damage if close to enemy" will make freeze buildup faster?

Freeze takes into consideration the damage you deal (after the target's mitigations). Any increase to your damage will increase your chance to freeze.

same applies to armour break as well? higher the damage dealt, faster it breaks?
