Companion major bugged after speccing mirage archer

Everything was working fine then I specced mirage archer.

Afterwards my companion disappeared and the only way to get it to re-appear was to unequip and equip my bow, however every time I re-zone the companion disappears and I have to re-equip my bow again.

Now heres where it gets interesting. Removing all gems and gear the companion appears fine. When I equip any other weapon than a bow, the companion will appear and can be enabled and disabled. The second I equip a bow, the companion will not appear once its dismissed, and it will disapear when I re-zone. When doing the same with any other weapon type its perfectly fine.

Tried everything honestly before getting to that process of elimination, weapon swapping to make the companion appear will also only work with controller if there is a different weapon type in the other slot than a bow, otherwise if i open the menu the companion will appear when swapping weapon sets without even a weapon attached, unpaused it wont....

When I picked up mirage archer, it bugged my toon spirit/companion somehow. Think this is only possible because mirage archer is not a gem, it cannot be un-equipped? If I could remove the gem to reset the game it might not have happened in the first place. Yes I tried respeccing mirage archer, that didn't work either.

Im going to quit this toon now and level up a different build
