Hm... looks more like your graphics card is overheating. You should check you temp. with the appropriate tools.

Pretty sure this is no graphic error or result of artifacts, I run the game with everything on max (EDIT: apparently except for filtering in this screenshot) with constant 60fps and GPU-temps of 50°.

Actually I just checked and for some reason I was running Trilinear Filtering instead of 16x Anisotropic. Don't know if that changes the blood effects making them look better. Probably right? Don't have time to check right now.
