GGG, do you guys think the jungle valley boss is overtuned?
I am just wondering because based on my own experiences as well as observing other players i do maps with as well as reading on the forums, it would appear that the only builds able to confidently handle this encounter are block builds and very high armor builds.
Is this intended? I dont intend for this to be a QQ thread I just would like to know if this is how its going to be from now on. I personally think that encounters that certain builds can handle that others cant are a good thing, i just dont think this should be applied to a boss such as this. All it does is pigeonhole people into block builds or forces them to run away from the fight entirely. I for one know I WILL NOT be attempting this boss ever again, regardless of gear or build, until it gets toned down. If this doesnt happen then I will just avoid the boss forever because the risk/reward ratio is way off for this encounter. Are there any plans to rework this encounter? Is it intended to be like this? The boss itself isnt the part thats hard, its the constant flicker strikes that make it hard. To me it looks like just another scenario where insane spike damage takes the place of actual mechanical difficulty. IMO, ATM, this fight is nothing more than an insane gear and build (block%) check. edited for minor spelling error in title, hopefully the correction helps get this thread a dev reply. yes. spike dmg is never good - with the exception of Vaal Oversoul - and map difficulty needs to correspond to map level.
I heard people are willing to run Twinned Temple Piety instead of Twinned Weaver. that says a lot. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

Yesterday tried him for the first time. My hybrid melee that can facetank almost everything in game, was down three times. Overtuned? It's just beyond that.

Yeah, I think this boss is WAAAAY over tuned. I just didnt want to come off as a complainer because really thats not what im doing.
I just dont think that making a boss that only the tankiest of builds can face is bad design and it hurts build diversity. The last 2 times I attempted this boss with my group only 1 person survived. He was a block/spell block build. This is ridiculous. Because of this I am selling my voltaxic bow because it just doesnt compare to my melee build even though it is ranged. |

The whole Weaver fight is just out of control for certain build ,having a low life pool (even with no aura reservations) and with no Shavrones is just suicide when facing this boss in the map.
Without a extremly tanky character i would never again try to solo this boss again. |

yep, the particular version in jungle valley is retarded, I will never run that map again until I hear of a fix too. You want to make a build only challenge put it in map affixes, not the map itself.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Because I've done that guy on my evasion shadow with 2.3k life and no granite flasks and only a spectre to tank (there were rock golems in my map). I came very close to dying multiple times and escaping was particularly difficult once I got hit by a crit but I don't think he ever got me and I did eventually get him. For a hardcore char I definitely would not fight him without some enfeeble + tank spectre + granite + insane life/es/armor. Maybe there's another hillock that is harder in a later map, I could see that getting ridiculous. As for the new weaver I agree weaver is bullshit, there are ways to get around most of the bosses but weaver has almost none. Your build is either able or unable to do weaver. Haven't done crematorium yet cuz Im noob :P my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex.
