So about the Shavronne's Revelation

Every time I got currency together to get one it jumps in price. There are fewer sellers, but they have more of them. So I am reduced to not playing OS for the next week but doing IIR/Q runs in Cruel hoping that maybe one will drop.
Why did you guys allow the standard league to be able to get the Onslaught only uniques? I have a suggestion for this, if more league only uniques come out, and if a person in HC has one and dies, make that league only unique is disabled and that the unique is account locked until that league ends. These Legacy uniques are a bad idea, and to have the carrot on the stick that Shavronne's Revelation may or may not be back is enough for me to consider if I may or may not come back. When the announcement was made, they jumped to 5 exalted each, and I did a face palm. So now I got the 5 exalted of currency together, the couple of people that are selling several of them want 10 exalted. I can't do that... unless a Soul Taker drops in the docks, but by that time they are going to be asking 20 ex for them. It is a losing battle.

I bought one today, what a relief. Someone was spamming several of the for 4ex each. I probably over paid because I have a feeling the price is going to drop with everyone trying to sell them in regular HC... but if they don't drop, then it was worth it. Yesterday, people wanted 10 exalted for them... all I could afford was 4. I am glad it worked out.
I still think legacy uniques is a bad idea, but you can always reskin, rename and release with the same stats for future play. Also please, please, please... make so that in future ladders with special uniques if you die in the hardcore league and go to Standard with one of those special uniques, that it is disabled and untradeable in Standard until those ladders end. |

Anyone know exactly how to determine if a monster can drop a unique or not?
Shavronne's Revelation has required level 30, does this mean that a level 30 monster can drop it? or is 38 with the 80% requirement thing I think there is on rares? Designer of The Broken Crown

" The vast majority of uniques can drop whenever the base item can drop. Moonstone Ring is a lvl 30 item, so lvl 30 mobs should be able to drop Revelation. There are exceptions (like that lvl 70 ES belt). E: Regarding the 80% requirement, something like that does exist. For normal and unique items the required level to equip an item is simply a set value (though the requirement for a unique item can be different from the requirement for its base type). Well I assume Auxium can't drop in act 1 normal even though Chain Belts can, so it's reasonable to assume that the required level to equip the unique plays a part in where it can drop.
Are we certain that the level requirement on uniques are a set number and not 80% of their required drop level? I guess Auxium might be a good example here as well, since I assume it can drop in level 70 maps? in which case that really answers my own question hehe Designer of The Broken Crown

I can't find the post, but I swear I read about the belt requiring level 62 to drop. As for other uniques, you merely need the base item to be possible to drop (unless things have changed). This means for example that the Hillock in normal should be able to drop Lehueps' ring.
