Intel HD 4000 graphics low
Hello, I am experiencing low performance issues. My specs are: Intel core i5, 8Gb Ram DDR3, Intel HD 4000 graphics GPU, a cache SSD, and runs Windows 8. I know my specs are not high but my friend here plays PoE with an Intel core i5, 4Gb RAM Ddr3, no SSD, Intel HD 3000 graphics GPU and windows 7 computer, with high resolution and detail settings with almost no Fps drop (~25 Fps), while I'm playing it with a lot of lag and glitches even in the minimum settings (~14 Fps). It might be a compatibility issue with the Intel HD 4000 GPU?

I hate to break it to you, but I don't think anyone is going to answer you, or if they do it will be a simple "need an upgrade." I used to be like your friend in that with my low spec laptop (Intel i5 2.5 ghz 8gb ram intel HD4000) would rut it at around 40-50 fps constantly with almost everything at high (I believe everything at high). Then after a two month hiatus it just suddenly ran much worse, until finally it runs like a slide show with everything as low as possible.
I've tried turning windows aero off, defragging, running in windowed mode, uninstalling and reinstalling, and numerous other fixes and got nothing. I am at a loss and am can't help but feel this is a combination of a problem with my computer, and some serious problems with PoE as performance between me and my friends just seems completely random, many of them technically adept with very clean and decent laptops. |

" Why did you necro this old post? The original post is over a year old. If you have a problem, please post your own thread, with your own details and a dxdiag.exe export ("Save all Information" button) inside of a spoiler tag or pastebin link. |

Simple answer is I googled my problem and got this and didn't realize it was old, my bad. And I actually did create a post with a dxdiag and an explanation of my problem. I didn't do this to be a nuisance.

Googled this thread for my son's PC, which has similar specs and is about a year old. It turns out this subject isn't brought up often, because this is a necro of a year and a half and is the most recent on these forums.
I haven't installed PoE on his laptop yet, but my question is would it run well? Has GGG made any improvement for performance on low end rigs? |
