Lightning Strike and Life Leech/Life on Hit

I'm trying to figure out what support gems to use for Lightning Strike, and I have some questions regarding its synergies:
1.Does Life on Hit proc from the additional lightning projectiles? 2.What about Life Leech? 3.Would Life on Hit/Life Leech proc with the additional projectiles from chain or LMP/GMP? Thanks in advance. |

Life Gain on Hit's description states it works with Attacks. Lightning Strike is an Attack; it only deals weapon-based damage. As such, any hit with Lightning Strike will trigger Life Gain on Hit.
Life Leech from gear works on Physical Attack damage. We already went over Attack. Lightning Strike converts 50% of Physical damage to Lightning. Basically, your final Physical damage is only half of what it would normally be. You can still Leech with it though, since it still deals Physical Attack damage. The Life Leech support gem works with any damage dealt. Additional projectiles are treated no different from default ones. |

Question about life leech mechanic:
Does it work for each projectile? Wiki says life on hit works for each projectile, but not life leech. |
