soul taker builds?

i tried look for 1.2 soul taker builds but cant seem to find i got sick of this derpblast booring build i wanna buy soul taker and make build around it...but i have no idea what skill main dmg i should use for it and wich class is best to start with and on what i should focus in skill tree? and do i need only soul taker to make build effective

soultaker enables you to run mana heavy skills while having all your mana reserved

so obviously mana heavy builds with lot of auras benefit the most

Well, Soul Taker is a 1 handed axe, so axe nodes, and 1 handed nodes for DPS.

I run a very tanky Dom Blow Templar with Soul Taker and Aegis Aurora, using max block and near max spell block. Soul Taker lets me reserve all my mana for auras, and still spam my primary skill (Dom blow linked up uses around 160 mana per hit)

Here is my current tree. My DPS is a bit lacking, but my minions make up for it. There are a couple of non-optimized things in that tree that are used due to using MF gear.

Soultaker opens up using lots of auras. That's the biggest thing. You can reserve all your mana and still use your skills. You don't even have to use as a primary weapon if you dual wield.

I've seen cool stuff with it like Exalton's Aura CI build, for example.

I wouldn't call 30K 'shit' dps...
