PoE - offline game possible in the far future?

Are there any plans to make PoE playable offline in the distant future? I would like to continue playing PoE once it is declared officially dead by GGG.
EDIT: since I already got 'DirkAustinED' I want to add: I am serious. I don't want to imply PoE is dead. I just hope that GGG gives us an offline version once our beloved game (hopefully in the far far future) is dead. “Human decency is not derived from religion. Look to how other games handled shutdown. There's no commonality. Each was handled in it's own way.
Safe to say... PoE wont go out the same way as any other game. I doubt we'll see a stand alone game based on it. Most likely, a company like Garena would buy the rights to it and we'd never see it again in the same form. I don't see a shut down in 2015. Too much is going into the April release of Act IV. |

" Why would GGG make an offline version? There will be 10 acts, multiple mini expansions in between and all kinds of other stuff. Dont like it, go someplace else but POE aint gonna go offline in the next 10 years or more. |

think you are missing the point dirk, hypothetical when the game dies in 10 odd year time(possibly sooner, who knows) will the game get an offline mode.

" They have no reason to announce such a thing at this point. Its like acti blizz announcing D3 gets an offline mode when its "dead". Oh wait, its still alive and well and its 2015 already, wow, people said D3 was dead when it came out, wow, players who say " game is dead" are people that should just get the QQ over with and move on play something else and comeback. POE will stay online for long enough, you wont be here when it happens anyways, because by then you all will have moved on. Its how things always go. |
