If RMT is against ToS, why do the sites still exist?

It's hard to remember what you have forgotten

Why are police looking for missing people? None of them were missing last time I saw them

I honestly have never seen a problem with RMT in games.

Does that mean you wouldn't mind if PoE became P2W?

RMT is P2W -> P2W is bad -> bad is not good -> good is good -> no RMT/P2W is good.

Logic of today, enjoy.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Actually, they can go after you if you steal the stuff from other players..

The pair got probation—three years for Stinger and two years for Nepomuceno—and have to pay Blizzard back $5,654.61, an amount that reflects how much the company spent investigating the case. Stinger is currently paying Blizzard $100 per month.

Oh, and not in-game probation. The kind of probation that fucks up your life.

I vaguely remember (and this strains memory) Blizzard suing and winning said lawsuit against some RMT site before, but that's because the RMT site was in the same country as them. The same laws applied.

They really don't have jurisdiction over sites located in other countries as the laws of court don't really transcend international affairs in this regard.

A friend of mine used to play Lineage religiously and he constantly brought up the subject as people would pay exorbitant amounts of money to get their hands on the best gear they could (the game was rather guild oriented and getting nuked by guilds while farming was pretty common). People with those items would absolutely decimate you and their was pretty much nothing you could do about it (aside from RMT yourself or grind for months)

Needless to say, the Developers of the game had their hands tied against foreign RMT sites, so it continued.
Joke about RMT. RMT on the side. Get yourself caught red handed. Pretend it was another RMT joke. Walk away.

Yay

Honestly I'm just wondering from a practical perspective why all these sites have had RMT PoE stuff up since the beginning of this game. I know I can't list any, but I'm sure a number of us have looked at them out of curiosity. Why is it that GGG can't have these sites take down their business? What are the legal implications?

lol
Taking down a site? Who should take down the site? superman?
Good luck whith that, server located in asia like china are non touchable for not chinese.

People build the market, not ggg..
ITT: OP thinks RMT sites can just be shut down with a single button by GGG

Question to the OP: Answer me why with laws against murder why does it still exist?
