" @Snorkle, admittedly, the request was made though. However, it was made in the context pre ascendancy (saboteur trap cooldown recovery perk) and pre passive tree trap cooldown reduction. So yeah, there's that. I agree with you though, everything so far suggest's that the gem is useless for the traps that require it (= spell linked with the "trap" gem which has an inherently long cooldown) And unnecessary for the traps that could use it, being innate traps which have the shortest cooldowns of all. @derpey, nothing mandatory about this gem, it's basically a QoL gem with a far to heavy tax on a build( a gem slot) rendering it non-existent for people actually familiar with trapping. So yeah, it's a fail design from beginning to end. I agree with shags, this should have been the quality on the "trap" gem, making it actually valuable for the builds that need it and placing more emphasize on trap throwing speed in the passive tree if required. Trap players have requested QoL features for the longest time, but not at the cost of a gem slot that's absurd given the gem link limitation trappers already struggle with. It's acing to making a +1 zombie support gem. Peace, -Boem- edit : honestly i am hoping the last jewel will give trap cooldown at a price. At least that would make it a relevant option, sacrifice a jewel slot + downside for some cooldown. " ya totally, hey, Im not trying to say dont add it, people wanted it now its there. Maybe 'grenade' trappers will be really into it, I dunno. I didnt even agree with the idea that we needed it to start with in all honesty so to me its an unappealing gem to fix a sort of non issue, thats all Im saying. I dont think Id ever use it on any existing trapper Ive played and I wouldnt want a universal version forced on me for every cooldown ability thats for sure. But you know, more options I guess? Theres something vaguely positive about options generally speaking. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
