So u guys updated 100 old uniques to be better but now gonna add another 100 new trash uniques
I'd probably wear this on a physical melee dude from 38 to 70.
It has a very high life roll, a resist, nice regen, solid damage.

I often spec into the Blood Magic keystone anyways during levelling (so no auras), and I don't really need Immortal call or Curses until maps.

It's not good enough for maps, and I'd rather wear Tabula or Belly of the Beast (at 46), but that doesn't mean it's too bad to even wear it.

If this is just for skin transfers its ok

If its a real armor you think people would use it sucks

heralds are not spells btw so they are usable

can use this with HoA for a decent amount of early damage but the lack of warlords mark and immortal call really hurts the builds defenses. The health on this thing simply does not make up for the physical damage mitigation lost by not having IC and Warlords. Maybe if it had a reduced physical damage mod or high armor then it would be different but it doesn't. It's bad

Even then, when leveling everyone uses a tabula rasa for 6L. Why add leveling chest pieces into the game, no one will use it unless it comes with support gem mods to make up for the lack of sockets.

And this simply isn't usable in endgame. Auras and curses are too strong.


One thing that makes me think we are mis-understanding the mechanics is:

"spells do no damage"

"spells are disabled"

Why is the first mod necessary? If all spells are disabled then they do no damage altogether. Unless this is an oversight on ggg's behalf, maybe the mod "spells are disabled" means something completely different

It could mean that spells are disabled from being self-cast i.e auras, self cast golems but spells can be cast through other methods (cwdt, coc). Or I could be completely wrong and ggg make another useless unique

Probably because of traps and totems, you don't cast them so it's possible that the action wouldn't be disabled and 'spells do no damage' would take care of that. On the other hand, if traps and totems aren't disabled you could use them to spawn minions which would be able to do damage.

Dunno, might be the trigger gems, spells get disabled on your bar when you link them to a trigger anyway so you might be able to trigger something and do damage. I suppose we will know what exactly 'spells are disabled' means once we test the item, how deep the disabling goes.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Because otherwise people (and bots) will have macros for removing the item, casting a spell (probably with an ongoing damage effect like firestorm), and re-equipping the item.

"Your Spells are disabled" means they're disabled now, but that doesn't mean they always were, and thus can't prevent them from doing things.

Maybe the restriction is the key word ‘your’

Some uniques and implicts also grant spells but not ‘yours’ ..or something but who knows..:D
It does make sense, though it sounds a bit paranoid, the item isn't 'that' good in endgame terms to make someone bother with a macro.

It's a low level item, if levelling with a skill that's hard to sustain in a 6 link you might want to use it over a tabula and get some dps back, 70% increased is significant early on. The problem is that most melee skills don't cost much, so this might see more use with bow builds.
