So POE is finally a Space Ship shootemup aka Volley Support
Didn't the threshold gem for split arrow already look like this? I wasn't even aware they were showcasing the new gem, thought it was just a guy with split arrow + threshold

" Wow they said that? The game is already horribly unrewarding as you wade through nothing but trash and slowly accumulate wealth to TRADE for gear that isn't trash. I would absolutely never touch it again if it was slowed down. |

" Came here to say this...It's just a differently shaped GMP. Dunno why this is the straw that makes the game 'finally' a shoot em up. |

" Ever stop to wonder if the terrible drop rates and chances of rolling top tier mods could be better if the game wasn't so much of a space ship shmup? Or lawn mowing simulator? Or as ProjectPT put it "XP glob collecting walking simulator" Chicken egg argment I know but I know for a fact that e.g. The Baron has gone from a common drop to a rare drop because of Animate Weapon MF Breach stone farming flooding the market, having joined in on some of these I saw sometimes as many as 3 Barons drop per run. They often adjust drop rates within leagues (Harbingers saw this multipe times) and success rates of rewards when you used the new orbs this league was lowered massively over time. This means the game is being dynamically scaled based on how quickly people play. The quality versus quantity argument in games like POE is nothing new. The faster we can go the worse the drop rates need to be. meanwhile any veteran gamer knows that killing 100 challenging mobs and taking an hour dropping 10 chaos, is essentially identical to killing 10,000 mobs in the same time that drop the same amount of currency. Only the 10,000 are obviously little to no challenge and become increasingly more like virtual lawn mowing than fighting monsters that are supposed to be scary things and not blades of grass. So the question any thinking gamer should be asking: do you want quality or quantity? Do you want to mow the virtual lawn every night or do you want an engaging experience fighting "monsters" that are supposed to feel monstrous? Do you want to slay them with Swords and spells or hose them down with your quad laser beams mounted on space ships, and screen clearing smart bombs? Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. Последняя редакция: alhazred70#2994. This is a very good notion that needs a repeat "Do you want to mow the virtual lawn every night or do you want an engaging experience fighting "monsters" that are supposed to feel monstrous? Do you want to slay them with Swords and spells or hose them down with your quad laser beams mounted on space ships, and screen clearing smart bombs?"
