I am here now, 18 elder maps upper left, how do I move on for best chances?
 A guildmate said I should just complete 2 more yellow maps but NOT Waste Pool/Bog, this could brick the influence. Then elder has like 99% priority to show up in the red quadrant, and there are 2 t15s there and not that many red maps. Another way could be to get elder out of some yellow maps upper left, and movie down via waste pool/bog into some more red? Newest conclusions might be though that this does not raise the chance to get him on a t15, but rather the opposite, as there are more lower red maps then included (only could try to include lava lake) Another opinion is to do the T16 connected, here Lair of the Hydra, a couple of times before I expand, as this could raise the chance for elder to go on a T15? |

Is creating a 2nd character to open Elder for your main actually a real thing here for the orb? Is this going to get patched?

" there are two theories: one is that the selection of the elder spawn location among the maps in the influence is completely random. in this case, you want to have as many t15s as possible, i.e. sunken city, reef and lava lake, with the connection going through bog. the competing theory is that elder spawns are heavily (although still probabilistically instead of detemrinistically) weighted towards red maps if you have red maps in your influence. in this case, you want to combine as many t15s with as few overall red maps in the inlfuence as possible. the optimal setup according to this theory would have sunken, reef, 4 additional, connecting red maps, and the rest all yellows. First Elder spawn I actively went for spawned him on a t15. I'm happy.
I think I was running guardians for a Shaper set when the Elder influence initially spawned. |

Finally got my 15th memory frag last night, after 27 elder spawns (after I had my 14th memory frag).

Best I have gotten is my current spawn, tier 14 Dig, going to take a lot of work it
seems to get him to spawn on a tier 15 lol |
