You heard it here everyone, it's working out for him so there is no problem. No, sustain is very hard and I am always bouncing back to yellow maps. I was slamming t13 and still fell back. I actually don't care anymore, because buying red maps for 4c is a joke when half of them don't even pay for themselves or drop like T9 maps.

Loool what he describes is extremely rare and should be treated like this (evrything in and around maps is nerfed but this extremely rare player chissles 1 T11 maps and is doing T14 atm....right....EVERY1 chissels,alch and vaal their maps when unlocking the Atlas (I even do 1 sextant and Bloodlines) thus plenty of IQ and IR, there are simply almost no mobs in maps, no surprise ofc because if GGG nerfs stuff is it dead afterwards).

I quit BEstiary since i had to buy every map (T10+) and yes maps drops but ALWAYS low level maps (first time ever in years, all RNG but forcing people to farm T1-T5 maps @ level 89 is boooooooooooooooring as F.)

Oh sure, i forgot i can alch and go. I don't need vaal orbs for red maps + corruption uniques for +1 arrows. I don't need chaos orbs for Zana mods. I don't even need chisels. 15% mob pack and 48% iiq is enough to sustain maps and have fun.

Pretty much this plus a large enough sample size plus a few key map purchases (of the couple thousands of chaos I have earned this league so far, I spent like 50 on map progression).

Could comfortable grind to 91,92 on a good layout white map, way faster, than on a bad layout red map with hard mods, especially since I wouldn't feel the need to full clear it.

Wanting a specific high ilvl item base to drop is a different question, but then still, maps are still sustainable as long as you do the pool building and I still don't get it what people who complain really do.

With all due respect your summarising skills are terrible.

You took only the things that offended you personally (on purpose if I may add) and left out every single other aspect of my post that clearly explains the nature of the game and why map drop are what they are and how much worse it used to be.

I gave you literally every single solid argument possible to debunk your imaginary "issues" with map drops.

All in all every single post complaining about map drops from every single person can be answered in one word and the thread closed: RNG.

For every one of you that has bad RNG there is another person who has good one.

There is also the fact of some people simply being better at the game and sustain than you are. Like I am for instance. But don't worry there are people who are way way better than myself. And people who are better than they are. And that is fine.

I know very well how all those words are spelt. I just do not care to take the time to correct my post because it's well structured regardless and the general context and message is going across perfectly fine.

Hi! Can someone explain to me what "Fragment Runs" are?

I am playing SSF and having a hard time with the Vaal Orb piece of the mapping puzzle.

I've already killed Atziri at least 25 times (trying to farm mortal set). The big limiter i usually have in the vaal orb recipe is the corrupted skill gems themselves.

I have ran uber lab over 50 times as well, and even though that does give me a few vaal orbs in the process, I do still finding myself running out.

The Vaal Pyramid map advice was pretty good... but I only have 3 of those.

If anyone knows any tips or tricks I would appreciate it! I want to vaal these T12s!! lol

Place one fragment in the map device and press open = random vaal zone that will have a vaal vessel that can drop either a fragment or a gem.

7 gems + 1 fragment = 1 orb at vendor

Fragment run is something you may consider huge waste of time and currency.
In short you spend your atziri fragments to open a portal to a vaal side area.
After some time (expect to spend a lot of time running vaal fragments as from my experience it is more likely to drop another fragment) you will get your vaal orb. In short you trade your time and 40% incresed item quantity (7 fragments for gem + 1 for vendor recipe) and get one orb in return (i believe u know every possible outcome from vaal orb).

In my opinion it's not worth it. Better to run random maps or if u really want to use recipe check Tidal Island (act 7). Take few quicksilver flasks, you can farm plenty of fragments per hour and sometimes (very rare) corrupted gem + this area is very good when it comes to capture monsters for 5 free prophecy.

Now this is actually my first game going into maps. I did play a little during the beta and when the game was released. A few friends of mine who have played this game for years have said getting maps this season is terrible. Now granted I have only done 1 t11 map which I did no problem and is the only t11 map Ive gotten to drop,and most map drops im getting is t7 and below. Also Ill keep getting the same maps over and over and over instead of ones I need. I dont rem off the top of my head but I have about 15 of the Atoll maps because that is all thats dropping for me in that tier. Ive only had 4 of the t10 maps drop I believe. Ive used orb of horizons when I can to get a map I need but all in all, Ive had to buy more maps, the play the ones ive found.
