HE used traps tho. Like GGG never do anything about traps in pvp . For example do you know traps bypass the cast speed malus of the pvp formula?

There is damage reduction on hits depending of your attack speed/cast speed but traps can go to negative cast speed, so they add insane pvp damages.

GGG never bothered taking care of negative cast speed, this is why poet pen and CWTD is so powerful in pvp.

Did for the first time with Sunder.Had 3 maps drop but my first try while I could easily tank one of them I could not get down their life.It looks to me like you need around 60-70k+ sustainable dps so I would not attempt if you have less without some sort of additional form of damage.Bleed with high max damage (critical damage multiplier included)is probably effective.

Best way to do them is try and separate them with a totem.Rushing in can get you killed and most of them die in an instant anyway.
Wait... did IQ's suddenly drop? We all know (have known... should know) that tougher battles don't equate to higher quality of loot drops. GGG has never ever provided really good risk/reward payoffs. It's all just more RNG to the max with lottery odds of getting anything great.

Edit: But seriously GGG, if you are afraid of making a tough boss fight too rewarding such that it becomes a farming boss at least you should have a much better payout for HOGM as it is a unique map that is rng gated to not drop very often so it's rarity prevents it from being a great gear farming map.

@Roflcopter, it doesn't matter which tier the map is, when you face off against enemies from level 60ish to level 100, and they all drop the same crap.

It just seems really badly optimized to me.
What`s the point of having a map like this start off with extremely easy and end with rediculously hard mobs? The scaling just seems really off. wouldn`t it be better to have it start with say higher level mobs and then add less lvls per wave? The bad rewards is a different problem for me tbh. that could be fixed regardless of the monster levels (e.g have the chest drops improved).

@kavlor i would be surprised if thats enough. I remember with my phys cyclone (around 450k shaper dps, which is on the higher end of possible dps for that char) i eventually came across some es regen build that i just couldnt get enough dps on from what it seemed. my rf however who does a little less dmg could kill him. dno if just plain dps is enough.

You don't need to have a scorching ray build, you just need to put a scorching ray gem somewhere on your char. Or get a balefire as a switch.
