What's your cast on crit build idea?

As a relatively new player who has never seen CoC builds, the new buff seems exciting. What are some combos that you think look promising?

Some I have thought up (please be aware I am new so these could be completely wrong)

Cyclone + blade vortex

Tornado shot + arc (with Doomfletch's Prism maybe?)


Whats your ideas?

Mjolnir + cospris + coc in body armor with flicker Strike. I had this Idea for a long time now.

Couldn't you technically do that without CoC? Or what is flicker strike triggering in the chest?

Not Sure yet. I thought Arc in Mjolnir, Some ice Stuff in Cospris and then some AE Stuff in the Chest.
I haven't realy decided about the spells tho. Will be ICE oder Lightning Spell. Something Clacial Cascade maybe.

My last CoC was Bladefall / Clascial Cascade with Cyclone.

If vagan daggers are still a thing, I'll give cyclone CoC bladefall + EK or/and blade vortex a go.

What CoC build I'd do would depend on some of the skill changes coming up. I heard stuff like Vortex and Ice Spear are getting changes, but if they're legit enough I'd probably try and roll a build I used to love:

Cospri's Malice x2
[Vortex][Frost Bomb][damage support]
[Cold Snap][Ice Nova][damage support]

Then put into my chest (I always assume 5L, since I'm a scrub)
[Cyclone][Cast on Crit][Shock Nova][damage support][damage support]

I could nix the shock nova to focus more on pure cold scaling, but it's pretty easy to scale general elemental. Big Shocks are just nice to have overall. I'd probably lean towards Elementalist for the heralds and leech, except there's another smexy alternative.

I wouldn't turn down the possibility of using Trickster either. Swift Killer would handle charge gen while clearing, Harness the Void for some sweet extra damage, Weave the Arcane for no mana cost on Cyclone and the increased attack speed here and there, and Patient Reaper for sustain while mapping and increased DoT damage of Vortex and Cold Snap.

Yeah nice. "Vagan daggers" likely even better now that it will likely have to be a crafted mod

Nice, might actually try that! I really wanted to try pathfinder this league (with master surgeon for infinite pots on bosses), reckon it would work/be good?

Classic CoC discharge with vagan dagger with voll's protector and voll's devotion.

ya quite curious what will happen with master specific vendor mods like vagan dagger. i highly doubt it'll be available, to be honest. if its made a mastercraft recipe that'll just be busted as fuck
