Cold to Fire Gem. Any uses?

2nd thread I've read about Cold to Fire.. still seems way to much trouble than it's worth :P

If we had any cold spells that do more damage than fireball and fire trap it just might be useful.

Hmm, might help a bit in making ice nova work, not many supports work on that anyway, conc effect, cold to fire, faster casting, chance to ignite, if you got a 6 link, slap inc burning on it too. With searing touch, EE, arc totem for support and enough fire and cold nodes it just might do enough damage...

... and leave you with too little passives left for defense in the middle of angry enemy mobs to die like a dog. The End.

why not use added cold damage? !
