Foolish mistake to attack. Bet he won't do it again though.

Oh I'm sure it will happen again.

I'm also sure, that over the course of 96 levels, he encountered pretty much the same exact situation dozens of times and made the correct decision each time except for the last.

People are acting like they are some kind of expert, but I don't see any of them with level 96 characters so clearly they are not experts.

It only takes one split-second misfire to kill you in that situation. Retardedly easy to do even if you know better.

Nobody is perfect, and GGG requiring that level of perfection out of players just because you like to use a bow is ridiculous.

Just use totem build. More effective, more DPS, impervious to reflect and thorns.

While I do have issues with totem builds, just like everyone else does. When you play in HC mode, you should be prepared for the fact that you will make a mistake, and you will die because of it.

His mistake was foolish. Incredibly so in fact. Just because he was didn't die to it before makes no difference. It only takes one mistake.

P.s. the level of one character is meaningless when discussing what an expert is in terms of game mechanics.

Nah. Was a normal, human mistake.

If you want to see a stupid mistake, look at the video of the totem build in onslaught dying.

He dived on a multishot map Piety to get a Sewer map. THAT is stupidity, and that's the kind of stupidity it takes to kill a totem build. Not the "oh-i-fired-on-a-reflect-mob-and-got-gibbed" but rather the kind of stupidity where you are actively doing something stupid for over a minute solid.

It's actually entirely relevant. There's game mechanics, and then there is ones ability to actually play the game and walk the walk.

If you think it's trivial to not make these types of mistakes, perhaps you should demonstrate and get to 96 on a bow build in Hardcore and tell us all how easy it is, Mr. Expert.

If he thinks he has to up his damage so much that he one-shots most of the monsters including himself, then yeah, not paying enough attention to reflect is a foolish mistake.

I saw the reflect aura in the video long before he retreated to shoot, why didnt he?

Foolish mistake is foolish, why you keep defending the obvious? :/
They can always make a loser league where Monsters do no damage and you one shot everything. Goodness, people, just don't play in the hard parts of the game if you cant handle them.
I despise bow builds. In all games. They're boring to me. Point blank sounds ingesting, but that's about it.

And yeah, the totem build death was hilarious.

War I'm saying is, it was foolish to attack a double reflect in a - resist map. It was. Plain and simple. I've played for FAR longer than one level 96 character btw. Game mechanics encounter everything. Melee, bow builds ( which I tried once), CI, hp, minions, totems, etc. he might be considerd an expert with one build, but that doesn't make an expert in the entirety of game mechanics.

This is called observational bias, or perhaps expectation bias.

It's a video posted in a death thread. You watch this video, you know he's going to die. It becomes absolutely trivial to see the cause of death before it happens. There is even a saying about this called "hindsight is 20/20."

Actually playing the game, and watching a video with a prescribed outcome and judgmental attitude, are two entirely different things.
I had to rewatch it several times to see the reflect mob, it only appears for like a second on screen.
His teammate warned him but noone is perfect :E
The last 2 deaths have been pretty hilarious.

I just hope Ganksta is ok, seemed like he was about to cry :(
RIP man.

It is always hard to loose something in that you invested so much time.
Especially if one aims for the top places.

Don't let yourself touch on that silly people which try to give you "protips".
You know yourself best what you did and what you did not.

On another note, do you have plans on your next character?
Tell us about it! :)
