GGG can't win the RMT war with the current state of PoE
Despite the fact GGG is doing everything they can do to stop RMT, its clear it's a losing battle and RMT is massivly popular
RMT players prefer using real money to progress instead of playing PoE; indirectly implying they find it MORE FUN TO WORK A REAL JOB THAN ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME Games are designed to be fun and if working is more fun than playing POE (for even a small proportion of players) indicates PoE needs big changes. Ridiciulous conclusion.
They have to work anyway to make money for rent etc. So they just use excess money on games because they get what they want easier/faster. Nothing to do with "working is more fun than playing PoE" This ofcourse doesn't mean that there may not be people who like their work more than PoE. “Demons run when a good man goes to war" Последняя редакция: Sneakypaw#3052. " This would also encourage bartering, i like it :D Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
| |
"even if players were short on time they would still prefer progressing the normal way if the game was fun enough |

Changing the drop rates wont do anything to affect RMT other than shift the prices around. Players would be able to create better items with more orbs available, but players who use RMT would still pay for the best created out of those orbs, or continue to buy orbs at lower prices to make even better gear.
Drop rates don't enter into people wanting to cheat. |

The whole idea of spending money to take a short cut in a video game just baffles me.
It implies to me that you don't really find the game fun since your skipping a lot of the content. Standard Forever

"people cheat because the reward isnt worth the effort put in. POE needs to be more rewarding. Buffing drop rates dosent directly affect RMT because as you mentioned prices simply shift. However it indirectly hurts RMT by reducing the amount of customers they get since more players will find playing the game more attractive than cheating |

" Why should the game change when the problem is the people? As long as people see playing a game as time "investment" and demand a "reward" for investing the time, as long as playing isnt enough for them to have fun...there will be no solution in my eyes. I cannot understand how anybody can try to bypass game dificulties by using RM. People simply do not understand that the reward-feeling comes with surmounting difficulties/problems on their own. The journey is its own reward. There is just not a great number of people left who know that :-) Последняя редакция: Partypapst#3836. Время: 11 дек. 2013 г., 07:12:24
