1.3 [Newbie Friendly] GROUNDSLAMMER BUILD
Endurance charge on melee stun is great. I used it for a long time on my ground slam and you can still stun white trashs and maybe be blue later without astonishing dps. There are people who can stun anything though, but they have the damages for that.
Btw, if you don't want to bother with refreshing enduring cry, just link it to a Cast on damage taken support gem. Enduring cry lvl 5 with CodT lvl 1 for example. You will need this anyway for boss which you probably won't be able to stun. Ranger builds list: /917964

cool man ty :-)
what about the Stun support gem ? if thats lvled up it should be easier to stun even as a low dmg newb as myself . requires many links ofc but that shouldnt be so hard to get right ? Stun support + endurance on stun + ground slam + sumthing and sumthing and sumthin ? ^^ |

IMHO Stun or endurance charge on stun, linked to main offence skill is pointless.
The more damage You make per one hit, the more you stun monsters. That's why Marohi is perfect weapon for stun. Slow but lot's of damage per one hit. You have to deal damage equal to at least 10% od monster HP to have chance to stun him. So get as much damage per hit as You can!! Offence is the best Defence!! |

Great guide and for the most part of my journey with my marauder i've followed ninja's guide. After seeing a lot of people switching to auras I decided to give it a go and it's worked out very well except one thing...mana issues. I wanted to share with those that are also in the same situation and dont want to go the Mahori route a solution I'm pretty happy with.
(EDIT: Did use a very fast mace. Crafted myself a slow one now - no more mana issues) I use a very fast rare mace (1.56 aps) and GS is on 6L (6.1aps - over 7 with blood rage)...so you can imagine i run out of mana pretty quickly. My attack time on GS is 0.16 and mana cost is 71....way too much for my little mana pool (562 total). I thought about taking more mana regen and increased mana nodes but to be honest it's just such a waste. Then I thought perhaps I could get more mana leech as I only have 2% on my gloves, then quickly realised that leech is only 12.5% of MAX MANA, which is not really going to help much. Then I found this mana flask: Wow it really made a huge difference and can be found relatively cheap at 3c and up. Super fast regen (over 200 per second) and while flask effect skills dont require mana. So overall a cheap solution to a potentially expensive problem for those with fast weapons. Hope this helps people with fast weapons that are hesitant to make the leap to auras :) Skill tree

Hi,
first i have to say that i love this build! As new player i'm really happy that i found this build, it helped me to beat nearly everything solo i encountered on normal difficulty. I bought a Geofri's Baptism (1 chaos orb, i really dont know the values of the orbs, but i found 2 of them in act 2 so it cant be too rare...thats what i hope :p) on my way to Act 3 because i heard that its a good weapon and i can use it until i reach around level 50. I plan to keep Life on Hit linked to Groundslam and use LL for my Heavy Strike I deal around 500 DPS with Heavy Strike (Mousover Skill) at the moment and i dont think this will go up much more for now. -> So i would leech around 35 HP per Second with a level 1 LL rune (2% from passiv + 5% Rune) Did i get this right? Now i'm a bit afraid of Bloodmagic. I plan to take it once i completed the Cruel quest for the LL Gem (medicine chest, i think). Is this too early? Should i concentrate on other things first? How much Life should be leeched to have a decent healing while spamming my ability? (-> Once i get to cruel i have to take a lot more damage?) My tree so far: Passive skill tree build I plan to take the 2 12% Lifenodes near Bloodless next. But after that? Maybe DMG Nodes and Smaching Blows, or should i get Unwavering Stance first? (-> Im afraid US will weaken me a bit, but i dont have evasion on my equipment so it wont be too bad, right?) Is Iron Grip worth the Points? It should increase my DMG, but its not in the Guide, so i guess i wont take it for now, its just really close to some of the other nodes, thats why im asking. I want to use nearly no refund points because i read that they are very valuable in the end, thats why im asking all those questions :) I hope you guys can help me out a bit! Thx Последняя редакция: Zentr0x#4161. Время: 20 янв. 2014 г., 06:11:38

Iron grip won't help you, it's for ranged builds only (the "as well as melee attcaks" in the description is the default behavior of strength).
Take those 2x12 life next, and go for Smashing blows and the two mace and life nodes. You can also safely take the 15% melee damage node in the marauder start, it just replaces the one at the start of Scion which is taken much later. Something like this. And take that endurance charge asap, with the added regen / endurance charge. It will help you to sustain blood magic if you can keep the charges alive. What are your link on heavy strike? You should have HS/Added fire damage or preferably melee physical damage/life leech/faster attack. Don't forget also that your life regen also counts in to sustain blood magic. You can just check in your defense panel how much life you regen per second. Add your life leech rate (35/s currently) and subtract your heavy strike cost x att/s. If it's positive, you will sustain heave strike on blood magic. As for ground slam, you can keep Life gained on hit for a long time, I still have it at level 78 ^^. And 1 chaos for geofri is the right price ;). This is one of the best leveling items. Ranger builds list: /917964 When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? " Hi, thx for your quick answer! At the Moment HS isnt linked to anything, but im leveling up added fire damage in another slot. It helps me to keep its manacost very low and i can use it as "standard attack". I'll go with your suggestions and after that follow the guide and go for golemsblood :) Isn't LL calculated from physical DMG only or will the added fire dmg increase the LL too? Thx again! LL from gem is calculated from the whole damage source.
LL from tree and gear is only based on physical damage. And if you link your heavy strike asap with life leech and added fire or melee physical damage, you should be able to use Blood magic. So make some 3/4L on your stuff, and geofri is a good candidate for this. Ranger builds list: /917964

Hey, i've started this marauder after reading the ops guide, having had another one that is probably almost beyond salvage :). Generally i like it really much, however i do have an issue with some mobs like for example the npc exiles who tend to do way more damage than i can compensate with flasks and leech, i just get two or threeshot by them. I wonder if that is normal and just a matter of playing very very careful or if my gear is just not up for it.
I've got almost 3k life, 1252 armor (i suspect this is the primary culprit), capped fire and lighthing resist, 35 % cold resist (i swap rings if i need more cold resists) and 102 life reg per second. Build is pretty similar to the one in the op, using heavy blow and ground slam linked with life per hit, increased physical damage and added fire damage, dps with normal attacks is 690. Character just entered A3 cruel. Skilltree is

I do realise i could probably optimise some of the nodes, i just wanted to wait with that a bit till i have better gear that allows me to remove some of the resist nodes as well. |

for those of us not running blood magic what would auras would you recommend?
also, I decided to try scion for starting this build. did I miss anything major that you guys see that maybe I'm not? I picked up a few things to the north that were easier to grab and I thought the early mana node was helpful and easily regretted later. http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgAAAecIZxRNGS4n7TwtQT9Bh0rITP9R5lRJVw1fP2h0bqpyqXzZguSKr5ARkc6UoJ7Nn8uiAKcwqWisqq9stC-3PrndvrzE9sWKxq7SIdSP2E3ZYdpi51LvDvAf8i_3vvno Последняя редакция: warfaire#2312.
