You are probably the person who starts to whine/rage when your character dies on HC :D.
When you use alt + f4, then stop playing immediatly HC, cause you aren't the person for it and kinda abuse.

I dunno. I got to 93 without alt f4 or macros. I have logged out twice (maybe even once I honestly don't remember) due to lag flatlines, because my ISP has killed me in the past and I know how that goes. Usually I just stick it out because I'm too lazy to have log back in or reload. So, you can thank my laziness.

You should never have to log, unless it is lag or desync, which is reasonable. If you yourself screw up, then you did something wrong, and personally I think you should get out of it by playing, rather than logging off. That's why you have to be cautious. It not, then git rekt.

Maybe sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

Edit: You can easily use a tp in most bad situations, also, rather than logging out.
