PoE shows up in Nvidia Control Panel as 'Phantasy Star Online', preventing adjustment of settings.
" No need to bump old threads. Simply follow the advice if it applies, and if it doesn't and you need assistance, make a new post. The best method for solving this problem is to NOT rename the Client.exe. The Client.exe gets updated a lot, and as you noticed changing it to PoE.exe causes it to want to rename the Client.exe as it is missing. The correct method to resolve this problem is to actually delete the Phantasy Star Online profile in the control panel, then either just leave it like that and let the PoE client just use default settings, or you can create a NEW profile for Path of Exile and point it to the PoE Client.exe and give it whatever settings you want. " Just reminding that the problem still exists, i don't mind right clicking and selecting the right gpu but this should not be happening. If GGG doesn't want old bugs to be brought up then they should fix them and if my feedback is not welcomed they should say so and i will discontinue my "sensless" posting. GGG could change the name of their launcher to something other than Client.exe if they cared enough to, but there might be good reason not to. Nvidia is the stupid one in this case for not doing proper detection and also pre-configuring profiles. It's also not that your feedback isn't welcome. You just bumped a really old known problem post, and posted about an incorrect method to solve it (by renaming the Client.exe). I don't want future people to think they should be renaming their Client.exe... because that is not the proper solution to the problem. TL;DR: it's not GGG's "problem" to fix. They can make a work-around, but why should they have to? |

Disable your integrated graphics altogether. The gt555m is a pretty mean laptop gpu I don't know why you wouldn't use it full time.
