nice job. Ever get around to trying my spreadsheet too? Curious to see what you think on that.

Hello mate, I haven't yet, was really busy leveling and grinding :) Let's see if we can check the coming days.

WRT to map mods and RF, the only ones I haven't done as life based RF are -max resistances and no regen. The rest are doable but half regen is kind a pain in the ass. I did some blood magic maps with only pof ON. ES based RF can get a lot more regeneration and half regen and blood magic mod are no problem at all

I have a question about the ES calculation on the sheet. It is using Vitality in it's ES Regen balance. I'm guessing that's only for those who use zealot's oath. Since you would technically have zero ES regen.

When you cast RF do you have any ES? I'm not sure how you could is there is no ES regen and with the burn constant the delay for ES would keep it from regenerating.

Let me know what you think.

Hello, so I revised my calculator and it provides the same RF Damage readout as the one in the OP. Difference is this will also allow you to add gem level/qual passives and gear bonuses separately and select starting class and quests chosen.

The use of this would be if you wanted to check different gear and/or passives and see their effect including total resists and MF ability. It's a more detailed/fine tuned variant than the OP's.

Basically, fill in all the items you feel like filling in. If Regen Balance is Green you can sustain. If Red you will degen life (bottom right corner has ES option for Zealot's Oath users).

Here's some options for filling in the cells
Скрытый текст

Option 1 - Everything in Bold gives damage:
Fill in only the damage modifiers on gear/passives, gem level, starting class, Character level, quests and type in the Life and ES in column O (totals) yourself. This will give the damage.

Option 2 - All Else:
Fill in all relevant information from gear, passives, gem level etc.

Because of snapshotting the gear damage increases are use with the snapshot gear. The life/resists/attributes/etc are with final gear since it's said RF damage due to life/es changes with swapping (only damage increases are snapshotted. example: carcass jack chest modifiers are snapshotted but switching to a kaoms would change damage based on life increase).

The Calculator. Also set to view only, save a copy if you like to edit.

So I guess the unique sceptre doon cuyebari would increase the rf dmg with that 1% dmg per 100 str?
And how about the % defenses from equipped shield would they increase the max fire resist in rise of phoenix?

Potential 10% Increased Damage for snapshotting RF? :S
Too much hassle, but it should work...

The Life from Kaom's won't be included for Damage dealt to Mobs. The Damage RF deals is snapshot when it is cast, including your Life/ES WHEN you snapshotted it. The Damage that RF deals to YOU changes with your Gear.

The ONLY reason to snapshot using Carjack's, instead of just straight up using Kaom's, is the quality of life provided by the Increased AoE, and being able to link RF in the Carjack's (potentially with [IIQ and] IIR Gems as well) thus no longer needing a 4L with BBBR to cast RF (though you could put non-RF Gems back inside that 4L once RF is cast, or have a 4L item in Inventory to use for this as well..)

And that opens up a powerful new tool for snapshooting RF damage:

Vaal Discipline.

You gain 954 ES @ gem Lvl 20, which adds 477 Base damage to your RF, and potentally FAR more if Vall Discipline is effected by aura/buff effects. That damage snapshots, while the added damage you take from the increased ES falls off after 3 seconds, leaving you dealing more damage but taking the same.

The only downside is that you'll have to cast RF, go kill things, then dispel RF once the gem is charged, and recast RF while the Vaal gem is active. Small price to pay IMO, for potentally adding thousands of DPS to your total after all damage mods are factored in.
After reading though this whole thread I found some interesting points.

Are that many people actually going for aura nodes? I'm lvl 92 myself with no aura nodes and I've been able to do all maps so far, including all the bosses. Instead of picking aura nodes you could be picking hp nodes to further rise your dps & actually rise your regen.

And another thing I don't get is why people praise Carcass Jack so much. I've given it a try so many times but all in all legacy kaom's still stomps it. The AoE difference isn't that big at all but the dmg difference is ridiculous.
The only reason I'd wear a Carcass is if I felt I needed more dps and wanted to link something in it like EK or w/e.

Should have seen this before I have created my tool. But at least now I got the formula approval that I'm running :) Nice spreadsheet, one of the very, very few good ressources out there.

I have created a web-calculator for RF which may, or may not (subjective), be more user-friendly. It does not include the calculation for sustaining RF but it does include mob-resistance-calculations.

In the beginning going for aura nodes let's you boost pof easier but once you have enough fire resistance and life regeneration you can do without aura nodes. However depending on which tree you're using it can be that getting the aura nodes is the best option as there are no other meaningful nodes around like life, regeneration, armour, etc...

WRT to Kaom's yeah, it is BIS for life based RF builds, even non legacy ones. Unfortunately for most of us, they don't grow on trees ;)

So guys, calculate this for me pls

Life regeneration = a (got 8% life regen, in a 4000 ES pool)
Fire resistance = b (got 80 fire resist)
Increased buff effect = c (got 0 incresed buff node)

RF ES damage in % = ((70 * (1+c/100)) * (1-(b/100))) - a
-------------------------------------------------------
((70 * (1+0/100)) * (1-(80/100))) - 8 RESULT -6.86
-------------------------------------------------------
from my calculation the result is = -6.86

this mean i shouldn't take any degen instead i shoudl regen correct?
