I don't think the world is changing where people are actively encouraging other users to have less Crit Chance in a build with a Passive Tree that invests 18 Passives (+ Pathing Passives) into Crit Chance. I mean, you're talking about a 106 Passive Tree (Level 87) where if you're Critting 50% of the time you might as well be Level 78 and playing Non-Crit Bow, and likely performing better. Makes 0 sense to do so and fuck over users. Also, all of the Ascendancy stuff is still from Patch 2.2.

i mean potential, totaly apart setups, nonviable skills n shit,
will I need to get upgrade to see endgame? Im not even sayign "farming".
Last time I saw proper endgame, there were still magic reflect packs, I'm not knowing the game anymore.

This is my first character on Poe, and I've been following this guide and been loving it.


But! Would anyone be so kind and help me out with some advice?



I feel squishy. And yeah, I bet it is a "l2p" issue for sure. But are there things I can aim for in my passive tree? I've been looking at Vaal Pact for a bit, but can't really figure out when it is needed (or even good to have).

Vitality Void?

Vitality Void with Vaal Pact?



Any sugestions on gear? I've been trying to fill it with hp and resist gear to the best of my abilities. But as I said, I am up for suggestions!

Hp: 4.1k
Evasion: 8.4k

Vaal pact needs lot of leech and damage, thats all.

You wanna crit, so perform following steps

LA+ GMP + WED + Inc. Crit. Strikes.

That's hotfix only, you are nowhere close to get fixed yet.
In general=press "c" button, you'll see something like this:

On the top of chart are icons of all skills that u have, click Lightning Arrow and tab "Offense" (first one on left)
And you have everything written down there- how often you're deal critical strikes, how much more damage they deal, how much mana and life they leech and so on and so on.
You need to take care about two values if u wanna have crit a lot cirtical chance and critical multiplier. To do that, you should pack crit chance and multi wherever you can- tree, jewels, gear, skill setups (its possible to overdo it and reach the point where it's a waste, that's not your issue yet, tho)

Among that crit mods of all kind, all over the place, 1 is most important, so called crit base:
here's 10,o8%
,
here only 5%


this wand can deal crits twice as easy as bow, it's this much of differnce. (v. briefly speaking).

So lomg story short, your bow has lowest possible crit base in game, going crit will be pain in the ass. And will mean compromising other things, most likely.

TL:DR= you are screwed, but you can make it

I will try harder to find more crit on my gear. To be honest I had more or less forgotten about it at this point. It's been a while since I used a passive in a crit node.

Anyone willing to point out one or two imediate upgrades? Aswell as a few long term?


You said my bow was bad, any suggestions on what to swap to? A 6-link harbinger is way out of my league for the time being. Although I plan on getting one eventually.

It's actually better than I thought, now goes the chores: packing crit chance and multi without screwing rest of things, means getting "increased global critical chance" and "increased global critical multiplier" where you can:

and so on and so on, above items aren't that great, so I guess they make good example.

Rule of the thumb is that critical chance is generally speaking easier to get than critical multiplier, so the multiplier should be priority. Althought you can't neglect chance at all. (chance says how often and multi says how strong are your critical strikes)


Also I never said that your bow is bad, I said that going crit is relatively hard with it (yet doable)

I am going to swap out my bow for something better. Preferably a 6-link harbinger. But man those are expensive :/

Don't start upgrading by 6l bow, 6l chests cost 30c+ white ones even 12c. I just dont recooment tabula rasa.
Bow is going to be expensive without any links anyway.

And, while dps is nice and all that, to me my dps doesn't seem to be much of a problem. Yeah sure, if bosses die faster they can't kill me either.
But am I around where I should be in terms of hp and defensive stats? What could I add in my skilltree to help me survive better?
