Thanks for the reply Unquietheart, I’ll look into what you say. So overall I should be looking for some higher life rolls and also looking for a vise? I pretty much stopped doing abysses because the rewards were terrible and the gems useless.

Well, the basic goal (of the build) is for about 5k life by the time you're into the end game (red maps). You need a deep enough life pool to survive the unavoidable hits. There isn't really enough life available on the passive tree (that's in reach) to do that, so yes, you need life on your gear. As much as you can get.

(You also need other defenses, like Immortal Call. A layered defensive system is ideal).

Abysses are going to be hit or miss. This is an ARPG, there are going to be a LOT of misses. That doesn't mean you should give up on them though, you can obtain really good Stygian Vices, and really good Abyssal Jewels. In particular, look for the Searching Jewels, those are the ones that can roll bow mods.

Abysses are really kind of a question of volume. The more you do, the better your chances of getting something good. It's a bell curve. If you want double sixes, you need to roll the dice a lot, most rolls are going to be in the 6-8 range.

Why aren't more people using Oskarm gloves? That shit's amazing.

2-abyssal tombfist is a lot better for dmg though

but I'd lose even more crit chance and 2 jewel sockets, not sure if I can get rid of 2 right now

Also how much does the "2 projectile" enchant add to the damage? It's so expensive

In this build, and many others for Ranger, the guides suggests using CWDT and Immortal Call, but I haven't seen anywhere that generates the Endurance Charges for IC. Where are they coming from?
They aren't coming, you just use plain IC to avoid high dmg spikes.
It doesn't need End charges to fire off for the base duration? The skill reads like it needs charges to work.

It has a base duration, regardless of how many charges you may (or may not) have.

You don't get very much duration without charges, but that's not what Rangers use it for. Rangers use it to avoid damage spikes, and as part of a layered defense. The goal of using Immortal Call isn't to allow you to tank stuff, it's to give you enough time to realize that you need to move. To smooth out the incoming damage so that you can deal with it via leeching or flasks.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks
Can someone give some tips on improving my build? I just hit maps and I can do T1 and T2 easy enough, but trash still takes longer to clear than I feel like it should and I usually die to the bosses at least once.

I know currently am sitting at 3.7k hp. I know I probably need some more crit chance (currenly about 24% with golem up) but I'm not sure where else to start increasing both damage and survivability without it starting to cost way more than I have.

Can someone provide some advice on gem links? I'm running Lightning Arrow and Barrage. I definitely feel like Mirage Archer is good on lightning arrow. What gem would you get rid of to make room for Mirage Archer? As for barrage, I'm not so sure that Mirage Archer works there. Does anyone feel it does? If you do, what gem would you get rid of to make room?
