I understand the end game very well. I was just too tired and sad to see people who tried to play my build to just fail and get frustrated cuase they could not get something decent to make it work. Especially after the vaal pact nerf, without acuity, you need very very good gear for a crit melee build to work in 76-78 maps. For me, before i got acuitys, i had problems with mirrored dagger and generally pretty good gear.

" Agreed, it's not about daggers only tho, basically every crit weapon(harbingers, wands, daggers). Crit was always strong, why do they have to make the gear even more easily available? " I actually remember you now Poutsos, we have conversed before, I apologise for calling into question your game knowledge. Ive smashed lvl78 maps to bits with Binos level daggers before though. The problem you were having was not your damage but your survivability surely? Thats a flaw in the build, not the gear. Surely you realise how excessive that dagger is in terms of damage. " NP man, i was not offended. Plus i do not consider myself as being a PoE guru anyway. Apart from that, yeah at that time survivability was the issue, but it was interconnected with damage cause i relied on instant leech. My damage was on the edge of just barely surviving reflect, but it was not enough to keep me alive through leech when i got gang banged on a 78 enfeeble/vulnerability map. So it was a desperate situation(only for the really hard maps though). Then acuity came, and besides the 100% effectiveness, the instant mana leech allowed me to rework the tree, and had my ES increased from 8K to 12K, while also increasing my damage output significantly. That's how broken the item is :P. But my point is, that with a crit melee build, you do need pretty sick gear to play constistently 76-78 hard maps without dying, and i did not like the fact that my build was unplayble for the majority of the players. That's all. I agree that pre vaal pact nerf, you could very easily handle the end game with much inferior gear. Also vaal pact was closer and easier to grab. " exactly, on any other slot apart from a weapon this sort of crafting is fine because of the ease of getting a really good rare in those slots and the limitations of what can be crafted from a bench. When it comes to weapons the game was already existing in a state where anything that was even half the dps of the full potential was as rare as hens teeth, youd be lucky to find one weapon like that for every 2000 hours played, thats what the game is balanced around. We are still in the early days of these new leagues and already weapons are being produced that outclass virtually anything that has ever existed in a temp softcore leagues before. The only one I have ever seen was in hc invasion, and that was HvRs 450 exalt dagger that took a a string of miracles and arguably the best player in the entire game dedicating the majority of his wealth across many months to turn into a reality. People have got carried away looking at mirrored standard gear in threads, the greed and envy is just blinding people, they smell a cheap ticket to game breaking godhood and dont want someone coming along and actually questioning what this means for the game as a whole. Everyone wants to win the lottery, but society cannot function if everyone gets what they want in this regard. GGG removed the option to craft 119% phys on the benches because they knew how game breaking being able to craft that one stat on an item would be. That is so trivial compared to what is now happening, I refuse to believe this was intended, I have no idea what they plan to do about it but I cannot see this being left as it is without everything else in the game being adjusted to accommodate it. Imo it just has to go, either this mod should be taken out, it should be restricted so it cant roll on weapons, regals need adjusted to not be able to turn an item into a 2 stat rare, something needs changed before this goes on for months and we see the game irreparably damaged by the long term effects of this. Thing is, solo self found people don't care if others reach this kind of gear before them.
At least now there is a way for the solo self found players to eventually (no matter how long that may be) get some results other than praying to RNG. Solo self found players wanted to get a safe way of gear progression other than the RNG lottery of exalting stuff later in the game or chaos spamming. Also the #2 dagger on rampage is: Which is imo even better than the ambusher due to higher crit/aps and doesn't have 4 master crafted stats. It was probably crafted or dropped the usual way. " And what cost isn't "trivial" for such a weapon? Unless the guy who made it came here and posted how much he spent rollint 2xT1 stats you have no idea how much has been spent on it. There are builds that trivialize all game content on a budget under 10 exalts even before bench crafting. As someone mentioned no one is complaining about people being able to craft Axes or Swords, but a 400+ dagger or Harbinger appears and everyone goes batshit crazy because the damage potential of a 400 dps dagger is several times the potential of a 400 dps axe. So some weapons benefit more from the crafting, others less. Remove the meta mod and daggers are still strong because you can get one like i posted above but you hit everything else also (accessories / armors and other types of weapons). 400 pdps 2h weapons go for a chaos or two which is aobut 1/2 of their top rolls. 270 pdps daggers go for exalts while also being at 1/2 of their top rolls, same for bows and wands. Axes and Maces also go for dirt cheap even at 1/2 of their rolls. To me it seems it's crit and too strong base stats on crit weapons that trivialize content. You don't see a rt char trivializing content unless he is in pretty much BIS gear. And i will have to say this: I could accept if they remove meta mod from weapons as long as they don't touch the craftable stats (as in the craftable brackets stay the same) and that the meta mod can be added to accessories / armors. BTW i beleive the main problem that comes up with the new crafting options is that the superiority of daggers compared to other melee weapons becomes too obvious, now that they are easier to get.
