Whats the best way to level this build? skills, items etc?
And is it still possible to do maps before u can afford dreamfeather?

Do you have issues with some bosses for the frenzy charge generation? Most bosses have mobs around but I feel a frenzy gem somewhere could maybe help, since loosing all that regen on frenzy charges expiration could be bad for survival...

I can't adequately say since I didn't play beta and don't have time to level a character in the new leagues (I used a respec on an existing character)... However, I know this can work as an endgame character since I'm currently mapping with it no problem, and plenty of people got to Act 4 Merciless in beta with a wide variety of attack skills/trees and mediocre gear, so it's safe to say you could be mapping before you get a Dreamfeather.

It's not really an issue; I think of the charges as a bonus. Flasks, Fortify, and manually dodging are far more important than regen.

Unfortunately the build is not as good as the 1.3 version unless you use Dreamfeather + Soul Taker, but it's still fun and very much viable in high level maps.

Ok, I take back what I said about Soul Taker. Dreamfeather + Soul Taker can be fantastic... except for how expensive it is.

I've switched over to Soul Taker so I no longer need mana or Blood Magic, and I love it. Updated front page.

My stats are listed in the "My Character" section in the first post. My gear is *nearly* optimal for Cleave (I could get more dps through accessories now that I don't need mana leech/regen, and gloves could have lightning damage and attack speed if I wanted to sacrifice evasion rating), although Reave or Ice Crash work well too.

For comparison, if I take my chest and use two Dreamfeather + Blood Magic gem + Ice Crash + Faster Attacks + WED + Added Lightning + Lightning Penetration, my dps is 30k with auras going but before frenzy charges and potions. This is effectively a 4L for tooltip dps. Tooltip generally goes higher if you use Dreamfeather + Soul Taker instead of two Dreamfeather + Blood Magic (frees up a gem slot), and it can go higher still if you use something in place of Lightning Penetration.

Whoops, my life is higher than that with jewels, I'll have to update. But the answer's Fortify + Taste of Hate. You can use Arctic Armour + Herald of Ice in place of Wrath (or AA in place of HoT) if you want more defense, or there's Enduring Cry. Enfeeble as your CwDT curse helps too. I actually haven't been one shot with this character in the Awakening except during major lag by a boss that you'd expect to one shot many builds (Dominus - Touch of God).

First of all, nice guide!

Made a similar build back when Dreamfeather was introduced to the game. Made it as a phys crit back then, and it worked quite well.

Decided this time to make it a ele frenzy, and so far as lvl 70 it's going pretty good. 8K with buffs on my Wild Strike, and 21k evasion.

Quick question though; why have no one mentioned using Wild Strike? Seems like a really good skill to use with this build, or am i missing something?
