Hey GGG, a lot of people are ripping to game lags/freezes you're doing a great job dealing with it
" literally been singing that tune for years now. Game still performs like crap. Do you really think that anyone believes it's a matter of 'more money will make it better' ? |

" I'm pretty sure no money makes it worse -- the servers go dark and we all go home. I'm not sure if more money makes it better, but I'm positive about the alternative. |

" Very true, and I do agree with you, but servers shutting down is not the issue, nor is it concurrent players online. Money has nothing to do with the design and architectural decisions that create crap gameplay experiences, which is POE's problem, As the last few years have shown. |

" Survival of the fittest applies to the business world also. For me, supporting GGG financially has been like being in a relationship with a woman who takes your money and spends it on buying stuff that she knows please other men, but that leave you cold. When you bring it up, you get ignored. You still have sex with her because she's the only woman around that gets you off, but outside of the sex it isn't much of a happy relationship -- and you know you'll drop out when someone else shows up who shows you more appreciation and consideration. Or maybe you decide that being single has advantages, too. | |
" It's not about whether or not RMT exists in a game or not, it's whether or not it is rampant or not. And in comparison to other ARPGs such as Diablo 3 (the current incarnation), Marvel Heroes, Grim Dawn, etc. RMT is rampant in PoE, despite the fact that D3's current playing population easily dwarfs PoE's. |

" I'll assume that rampant is an accurate description for a second, and not just myopic hyperbole. So, what? GGG just throws up their hands and never does anything again because RMT? Zero. Sum. A comprehensive, easy on the eyes loot filter:

" They could do things differently. You know, in a way that does not heavily favor and encourage RMT! - Every set of challenges has at least one that can almost only be completed by RMTing. - The PvP system could have done in numerous different ways without fostering and rewarding RMTing. - The decision to leave in, and create more, legacy items was extremely supportive of the RMT business. There are so many examples, and so many alternatives that could have been chosen. The evidence that hints at GGG knowingly encouraging RMTing is, to me, overwhelming. I see no steps to hinder or discourage it, I only see the exact opposite. Последняя редакция: Mivo#2486. Время: 23 дек. 2014 г., 23:10:57

" No, they should give up on the idea of a trade centric game because trade centric games are just RMT havens. There's a reason why most modern day MMOs have moved away from the idea of an economy centric game because those types of games lend themselves to be heavily botted/RMTed, causing major shifts in balances that are unaccounted for. The fact that they have allowed maphacking in the game despite the fact that it is insanely easy to eliminate or detect is just absolutely hilarious. |

" Because others gave up on it means they should, right? Not like they want this game to be similar to D2 or anything that game wasn't successful or loved. /s " Source on how its easy to eliminate or detect. What does maphack really give you in PvE more efficient farming routes, most maps have set layouts that are best anyway. As for races we see a move towards revealed maps\fixed seeds. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285
FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF. |
