There is NEVER any reason to use Vorici to 5L a 6S item; always do that manually since you can get a 6L on the way (it's happened to me on two occasions). I will happily use Vorici to 6L high roll items... if I have the currency. It is really hard to save up that amount of Fuse (unless you've had some really lucky drops or live in trade chat), and I don't even say that from the perspective of a casual player.

These kind of threads are so silly. You can't make a judgement like that when it's all based on LUCK.

This is about my few weeks torment and I let out the standard 10's of items I linked so far. That includes 2X 6 link.

Also, reading patch notes and ggg quotes tells a thing or 2 about the average.

2 reasons:

-long term you will average way below 150 fuse
-1/10 to 1/15 chests statistically 6 link doing manual way



There IS an exception:
Ultra expensive gear like legacy shavs ect... Just pay the 1500 if you still have unlinked legacy.

Doing calculations on a "experiment" based around 3 trials. Sorry mate, but this is not nearly ENOUGH to make anyone believe that this is close to reality (even if it may be. they actually are, btw).

If you want to use math and statistics to prove anything, use proper method. And if you are talking about stuff that needs around 100-200 tries to get "success", you'll need around that times 2 to 3, to prove anything using statistics. So even your 10 trials is not enough. Come back after you've done 500 :@.
Point of Vorici's recipe is that when you are going for the first 5link and CANNOT RISK failing it, because you will have hard time getting another 150 fuses.

And btw what makes legacy Shavs more worth to 6-link with Votici, than the "not ultra expensive stuff"? It makes no sense. o__o

OP has no clue about statistics.

Its not great discovery you will come out ahead in long run over many items NOT using Vorici. If odds were worse manually linking everyone would use Vorici. That said I like sure thing and not wasting time. I always pay to 3-4 link and jut buy 6L's I want at poe.trade. Too much frustration otherwise.

I think of it like this when linking

manual = high risk stocks. great reward but maybe lose
Vorici/poe.trade = government guaranteed CD. No big gains but sure thing.
