I have included a picture with some items to show what I am seeing (basically just everything in my inv, not an extensive test) The items in gibberish are, from top to bottom, Lvl 1 Mirror Arror, Lvl 46 4L Beryl Military Staff, lvl 1 Fire nova mine, lvl 1 Pierce Supp., and lvl 1 slower Projectiles Supp. The area is The Riverways on Cruel Monster lvl 45.

for some reason the filter plays a sound normally used for stuff like essences whenever some white sorceror's boots drop, is there some hidden value i'm not aware of or is that some kind of bug?

1) This is actually very appreciated. Right now I'm rewriting the guide here and there and going to completely rework it, I'll PM you once it's done, thank you for your kind offer.

2) Search for "0707" in the filter (open it with notepad or notepad++ (recommended). The second match will lead you to the chisel recipe entry.

Scroll down until you find the following line (it's the entry without the "Quality" identifier)

Show #$chisel, recipes %D2
BaseType "Gavel" "Rock Breaker" "Stone Hammer"
Rarity Normal
SetBorderColor 0 0 0
SetBackgroundColor 75 75 75
SetFontSize 32

Change the "Show" to "Hide", save, you're done.

how do you unhide chromatic items in uber version? by this i mean the linked red-green-blue items

I'm probably dumb but I can't find either the ''Show filter folder'' in UI Tab nor the Filter option once I extracted the file.

Paste the .filter files (just the folder content! not the folder) into the following folder: %userprofile%/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile
4) INGAME: Escape -> Options -> UI -> Scroll down -> Select one of the filters from the dropdown box

I'm quite new to the whole Filter thing (and I have been away from the game for a while now).

I have a "issue" where the items shown by the filter only show for a short duration then it gets hidden and I have to hit alt to see the items, at which point the filter doesn't do that much (I know it still colors and such).

Am I doing something wrong or is it just how it works?

Search for "RGB" and switch the "Hide" to "Show" in the entries you want.
