[WARNING] I got my account hacked

Steam has a 2FA if I remember correctly.

This thread made me paranoid.
Signed up for the safeguard Authenticator feature on steam. I'm safe now right? right!? |

Happens to me at the end of January 2015 same modus operandi, that time I "lost" arround 18 ex in currency, they left crappy currency.
I don't use Steam or procurement or anything else, just the game, nobody knows my password, was a simple HighJack. EDIT: By the way I recieve e.mails in my smartphone and didn't recieve any from GGG for the location change. "This Is A Buff" (Bex_GGG august 30, 2016) Последняя редакция: diegodgo87#3061. Just like Onizuka, I think my account was jacked as well.
The most valuable things were two uniques, an axe, and a belt. The rest are low level rings and some gems. Changed the passwords on all the games I own. Still, its frightening logging in after a long break, to find your character powerless like that. |

Chris Wilson needed to buy Christmas presents, so he sold your ex.
JOKE. I'm JOKING. Please don't nerf my drops! no! stop it! Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

Did you use same password between POE and e-mail ?
Also someone asked you if you connected to procurement using session ID or log+pwd? |
|

So sad for you, bro!
Hope GGG can do something for you, so you can recover from this as fast as it shoud. gl |

That fucking sucks, especially considering that they are just doing this shit to make a few dollars.
Any steps for people to reduce risk of being hacked? What if they already have procurement and steam? Последняя редакция: LilChenChen#6976. Время: 18 дек. 2015 г., 21:00:39

" Mostly common sense stuff. Don't tell anyone your password. Keep your passwords different for different sites/games. Change your passwords every year or so. Don't download suspicious crap related to the game. |

The most likely thing was your e-mail was hacked, I don't really see how else they would be able to get into the game!
I'm in Japan right now and I had to enter an activation code sent to me since I logged in from a new location - without access to the e-mail account I don't see how they possibly could use your account. (might work differently with Steam ofc.) Nothing to see here.
