Blade Vortex and Physical to Lightning

If I utilized physical to lightning, would I even be doing enough lightning damage to shock mobs? Going crit of course.

all crits regardless of amount of damage will end up giving them the status effect. the duration is then based off the damage.
and to go with blade vortex, the damage from it will probably not last a very long duration at all... |

I'd say go for it still, cause Phys to Lightning is such a strong support gem for physical spells. Don't expect to shock any significant mobs though.

" How so? If you are planning to shock it is great, but for smaller hitting phy spells it is probably a dps loss. Monsters have way more elemental resists than phy resists after all. BV has innately very low damage per hit, it just hits like 50 times a second with enough stacks.
I don't see much utility in converting physical to lightning for the purpose of shocking. It'd be much more effective with blade fall and EK but the latter is somewhat underpowered at this point. IGN: Arlianth

" I mean it's good because it just gives a lot of damage. I know it's a default support gem on Shockwave Totem's 5th link. I don't know enough about Blade Vortex to recommend it without a doubt on the 4th or 5th link though. |
