that didnt answer my question as Im new and Ive only played ds and talisman which were both start over events, how does this work? Im serious I wouldnt even ask if I wasnt a noob and had never played an expansion. I for the most part dont play standard only played leagues, so I wanna know how this works, Is talisman ending just before the new expansion all characters going to standard and its just added content? or will a new league be coming shortly behind it.

Talisman isn't a expansion. Talisman is a league where it's the same shit as permanent league but with "talisman" (aka corrupted amulets with special mods) that you can farm for.

Ascendancy is expansion, like Awakening...

You are playing one of the temporary leagues IN POE: AWAKENING.

Perandus will be one of the temporary in POE: Ascendancy.

Actually I don't know how to explain the difference between Expansions and Temporary Leagues without feeling like retarded.

Thank you I get it now, I did just find the re-edit about the new league coming along side the expansion right after I asked the noob question.

And as for your question, since Talisman league is temporary (it ends on 3/3/2016) so after Talisman league ends all your talisman characters and items will be moved to "Standard or Hardcore Standard" permenet leagues, and...

YES you will be able to use your existing talisman characters (which will be just a normal standard league character after talisman league ends) in Ascendancy expansion after it's released without having to re-level all over again.

And if you want to play in the new Perandus league you will be required to start a new character and start all over again.
