Can't login

Ive tried this:
-Make a clean boot of win7 -check any Connections with TCPview -assured that no progs are running wich temper with connections (esp. no browser) -fired up PoE. PathOfExile.exe opens a conn to a patching server, patching went flawlessly. No further attempt from it to open another connection. hmm... quite at wits end... i havent tried to reinstall PoE, since the game files would remain the same. But i would have to reconfigure its environment again... making hard links, setting stuff... edit: trying a second, parallel install... ...failed. 4th - wait no - 2nd day w/o Poe, getting serious withdrawal symtoms^^ Последняя редакция: Yldegray#3862. It works for me, but game freezes in the beginning of EACH location.
So be aware of it ) |

so the question becomes why do we have to disable the pre-loading of game assets to play the game?
does it "forget" that it actually has to talk to the login server while loading up that stuff? |
