CwC is linked to Icestorm, so the main damage still comes from Icestorm. You just need at least a 2L I belive, unless you want to use gems to also boost SR.

Only 4L is needed for it (link the 4 blue gems):

FP and LL do nothing for SR.

Technically, even 2L is fine (SR-CwC). SR just won't do any damage of its own like that, but we don't do it for SR's own damage anyway.

FC is not used with SR. CwC casts Icestorm at fixed 0.35 sec intervals and that cannot be changed.

SR turning speed is based on cast speed, as is the ramp up speed of it's stages. Makes it a very mobile to use skill and safe for HC.

edit: after a few maps with ele focus > faster cast...... I'm a convert... ele focus feels much better and FC doesn't feel like it's doing that much. thanks for enlightening me (lvl 4)

Turning speed is irrelevant since they made CwC cast the linked spell at the cursor instead of the end of the beam. You can cast Icestorm at the opposite side of the screen from the beam without waiting for the beam to turn.

This is not an SR build, it's an Icestorm build. Just ignore the fancy beam on your screen. Its more distracting than helping anyway.

Shaper of Desolation is a really poor choice, especially for HC. Whatever you sacrifice for it (Liege, Paragon or Mastermind) is FAR better.

i'm going to swap it for mastermind, but im unsure if cwdt ball lightning will trigger it or if i'll need to selfcast something (orb of storms?)

edit: triggered skill don't activate mastermind so I will need to self cast. Either Orb of Storms or Vaal Lightning trap seem like the best choices.

First off thank you for the really great guide! I really wish some of the other ones posted would be as in depth and monitored as yours.

I really just have a few quick questions, in HC will I change anything up in the guide? Any recommendations to do things differently for HC at all or just stick to the guide and read the boss section like I was going to anyways. I noticed in the Scion section you were going to be making changes soon for CWC, will that be coming here too or can play this to the letter as a "league" starter still(except I'm halfway to astra at least...). I was really interested in going Scion but I will probably just go witch for now and see what your updates bring - assuming Scion is viable for HC?. Thanks in advance.
