Huh? Pendulum gives extra damage, that's always useful. Paragon is elemental defense + retalliation:

For each Element you've been hit by Damage of Recently, 8% reduced Damage taken of that Element
For each Element you've been hit by Damage of Recently, 40% increased Damage of that Element

This is amazing against the endgame bosses. Uber Atziri/statues hit you with fire and get owned for it. Phoenix hits you with fire and gets owned for it. Hydra hits you with cold and gets owned for it. Shaper hits you with cold+fire and gets his face melted for it. :)

Ya i gave up on that +1 lvl on discipline since it isn't that amazing anyway (is what i will keep telling myself). You can google Vorici gem calculator. It can estimate which method is best to roll the sockets you want depending on the attribute requirement of your gear. Which should be 2r 1g for 100 chromes.

Also hex proof sucks so much. I think i will always reroll it from now on - in red maps at least.
