[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything

So back when I played Talisman I pooled my currency together to make a Whispering Ice build; I followed an Avatar of Fire guide and I remember seeing your/OP's/Kelvynn's face a lot so I naturally found myself at this guide.

Unfortunately I refunded my passives, but should I look into going for Pyre and shifting my current gear to compensate? (rare rings are pretty solid though) Currently only a Level 70 Witch so lots of room to change/grow

I must be missing something. How do you get 3 curses? I see you use Doedre's ring but where does the third curse come from?

Leveling my char in HC right now. Currently level 50 and enjoying it. I haven't made the switch to CI yet though.

Good to hear! Would you like to make a Marauder WI build post with all the details? Like:
- how did you level and when did you switch to CI?
- gear, stats?
- did you manage to do all the stuff that Scion/Witch killed? any issues?

I've been contemplating a Marauder version for a while, actually two of them: Berserker and Chieftain (WI totems!) but haven't actually tried it yet.

For the Witch, the only place to use Perandus Signet is the final fight vs Uber Atziri. That ring doesn't give Witch quite as much Int as Scion, especially if it's not the legacy 3% one. Especially at lv 70. An extra curse (at lv 70 it's your 2nd one) is better than a small Int bonus.

WED does nothing for this build. It only works with attacks. This build uses spells.

If you want to go with dual curse, skipping Whispers of Doom and taking a jewel socket will probably give you more DPS and ES than a ring. Although a very good rare ring with 60+ Int, ES and resists may do better, but it may cost a lot.

Those rare rings are solid, but not very special. You can get 60+ Int (between Int and All Stats mods). For the Witch version definitely go with Pyre + Doedre's, don't bother with AoF/CtF.

P.S: Damn, those % all stat talismans are sexy...

You know, as much as I would love to play this over Bladefall miner; I have tried with two different characters now, and survivability is utter shhhh. Following your advice and going CI, at level 50 I have 2k ES and still get just about one shot by trash. This of course running life leech + warlords. So really don't know what I am doing wrong ...

That's what the Troubleshooting section is for. My guess is that your INT is too low. Int gives you DPS and, though it, leech. See the example gear and stats in the Leveling section. Pay attention to Int and Icestorm damage instead of the ES amount.

First off all...pretty nice build.

But its actually not rly cheap if you want to go do higher things...Ofc probably there are no build who can do that but you could still mention it :D.

But you can do probably up to tier 10 maps with pretty low investement.


My biggest problem now is to upgrade my equip and find things i can work with on poe.trade (luckly i chanced skyforth today so i can afford a double res + high es chest+ high int).

Well still nicely done did double abyss and atziri rly easy with like 6k es.

thats simply not true. this build can do deathless twinned core malachai with gear that costs less than 100 chaos in total.
