I just reached Level 52 and am wondering what skills should I focus on? This is what I have right now for gear, but after I get off work tonight, I'll upgrade my gloves and helmet, maybe even my belt and boots for more resistances for merciless.

Your cobalt jewel is really bad. You can find something 3x better for like 1-3c. 2. You are going for a wrong jewel socket (near Scion). Refund those 2 nodes and take the Witch area socket. You'll need another cobalt jewel for that too. 3. Your chest, gloves and boots need upgrading. You are wearing cheap lv 70 stuff, but you are lv 87 now, time to look for more Int (priority 1) and ES (priority 2). 4. Buy a Divine orb and apply it to your Astramentis. Can this build run all 3 curses (enfeeble, warlords, temp chains) on blasphemy somehow, that would feel really awesome.
Are there alternatives for the black suns crest? Kinda feels very cramped/low flexibility to get the most out of the build. I want to eventually kill shaper but I cba to play BV, its just so boring :D I played this last league actually but was really bothered with the "required" black sun crest shenanigans. I feel like 3 curses could be achieved with less struggle, tho I might be very wrong on this. Also gz on shaper kill :) |

I upgraded my gloves and kind of "side-graded" my helmet...
What I meant by skills is gem wise. Am I moving too fast for using the 5L curse thing already? |

What about the orb of storms and the elemental overload? My Orb of storms has only a little more of 6% of crit chance, and I really am saving points for other nodes, for now. Is it really worth it? I mean, does it really trigger the elemental overload so often?

" Yup, I just swapped to using orb of storms and if I'm not lazy it's close to 100% uptime. |

On single target it can take a few seconds until it procs, but if you drop it on a bunch of mobs it pretty much procs elemental overload instantly. Don't forget it will also proc the 25% fire penetration from the last ascension node. The orb does a lot of hits simply by dropping it once, and each hit having a chance to crit.
Are you really considering if 40% MORE damage is worth it for 1 passive point? ...what could be more worth it than that? |
