" Cyclone is much less DPS. It's popular because it allows you to be tankier with fortify and stun immunity. If you want to go glass cannon, ranged CoC is the answer :P Barrage with the enchantment hits a single target 6 times per attack, I attack 2,5 times per second, that's 15 hits per single target per second. If I switch chain with GMP (only for certain bosses like Atziri), the hits per second will be 25. For pack clear, with chain and the volley fire jewel the damage can't really be calculated but I regularly offscreen bosses like Precinct or Plateau without even noticing and kill the Village Ruin duo so quickly they don't have the time to enrage and oneshot me. Cyclone can't go nowhere near that. (before the 'hur dur nerf coc' posts, flameblast, traps/mines and blade vortex are stronger :P) You have to be realistic about these things. Ugh so I never played CoC and got trapped into the no accuracy is bad idea. If one of you more experienced CoC guys can look at my tree? If I switched to a 8.5%+ Windripper could I refund the 19 or so points on Templar side and still be crit capped without 2 power charges?

" You seem to be following a popular bow coc guide I don't particularly like. It's IMO overhyped and is actually the build I dissuaded my friend from following. Can't really give advice as I would use a different passive tree and skill setup. All I can say is my friend was barrage and EK crit capped with windripper, a diamond ring, some crit on the amulet and a Rat's Nest with the build I made for him. It didn't go to the templar area, only used the power charges near Witch and Shadow. Accuracy is important for weapon-based crit builds because it's calculated twice for crits. 1. Hit or miss calculation for your attack 2. Crit chance calculation for your attack 3. If it crits, your hit chance is calculated again and if it's a miss, you only get a normal hit instead of a crit. In a way, your crits can miss just as your normal hits. That's why some players think Vagan daggers are an absolute must for coc builds (they are nice but we were playing dagger coc builds long before Vagan appeared) and are doing Lioneye's coc builds. In lioneye's case, I don't think the 'can't miss' mod compensates for the extremely low base crit chance and utter lack of spell-related benefits. You have to be realistic about these things. I do have a barrage and EK leveled. I knew from my Phys wander days about barrage being useful so I leveled one. Yeah I had a feeling the low base crit was going to be an issuse. And after using a lioneye's and then switching to this +1 charge storm cloud. Even with ~80% accuracy it seems way more fluid and less clunky. I have the currency I think I'm going to do a pretty major respec of the templar tree maybe keeping the Staff Cluster since I have a Lioneye jewel. And moving those points over to the ranger/shadow area.

" No, you don't level barrage. You keep it at level 1 to minimize the mana cost. Your dps comes from spell procs, not from the barrage itself. About the staff cluster, it's simply ineffective. You can have a look at my character Steel_Blossoms, you could basically use his passive tree and gem/item setup almost verbatim. The only difference will be switching the helmet with a rat's nest and perhaps needing global crit on the amulet. You'll also need one more accuracy roll on a ring or the amulet since my second accuracy item is the helmet. This will make your gearing a bit expensive, the more budget option would be to use gloves with accuracy until you get good jewellery. Of course, there are some variations and intricacies - I switch gem, aura, flask and gear setup for different goals - but the basic build principle is there. To repeat my advice to C1111, if you want brute force, wands are IMO straight out stronger because of their higher base crit and spell crit/spell damage rolls. However, damage will be more than enough with a bow too and windripper does have nice quantity and rarity bonuses with the potential for a magicfind build. About hit chance, you want to be at or near 90%, 80% is abysmal and if it still felt better that should be telling you a lot about effectiveness. p.s. one of the details is you switch chain with the GMP from the CwdT setup for single target bosses - but these are very rare. Most bosses have adds. You also switch out lifeleech with added fire for bosses that are too dangerous and must be kited around and killed as quickly as possible. p.p.s. if you're wondering about the two curses, it goes like this: when you kill something, your herald of ice procs and curses the mobs next to it with ass mark. They die a split second later and replenish your power charges. This, combined with the CwdT setup, is an immense help for power charge maintenance. You also use a diamond flask when you have no power charges up. The cwdt-warlord's mark activates when something deals damage to you. It helps with leech but isn't mandatory, you could use some other curse. You have to be realistic about these things. Logen Ninefingers Последняя редакция: Bars#2689. Время: 17 июн. 2016 г., 11:43:37

Why are we still talking about CoC?
I thought it was said that CoC is what killed PoE, and in order to save PoE, CoC will be removed or heavily nerfed come 2.4 for the future of this game. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.
Welcome to PoE. |

" lol We're playing it while it's good, there's an entire leagues' time until 2.4 so it's fine. When 2.4 hits and they rape coc, we'll move on to whatever's the new great skill everyone's whining about. Even if there's no new good stuff, there'll still be at least flameblast, blade vortex and mines/traps so all will be fine. You have to be realistic about these things.

" If your laptop isn't a gaming rig with a solid videocard, you will probably have FPS issues. Don't know if it will be playable or not. You have to be realistic about these things. Logen Ninefingers Последняя редакция: Bars#2689. Время: 17 июн. 2016 г., 12:26:35
