Thank you for taking the time, it has been a bit over a year since last I played PoE so my knowledge of mechanics was a bit rusty. You are right that without Resolute our hit will be too low and the crit won't proc EO since I have to crit.

regarding gems:
Brutality seems to be better choice on Beta over Melee Dmg on Full Life for non-aura builds. At level 13 (q0) Brutality gives 52% more physical dmg to supported skills, that's equivalent to a level 23 MdoFL. The exchange is that you can't do any Elemental Dmg (so definitely better for a non-aura build, not true with Hatred + HoA).
