The even sadder part was that Trump asked Hillary to give back the money Saudi Arabia and others gave as a show of disapproval for this kind of horror. It would have been easy for her campaign to give back the dollars and disassociate herself from them. If you don't have a strong stomach, don't search for the videos - they are heart wrenching.

go with what you know I guess, her comedic timing telling jokes is awful, its like she uses laughing for defense mechanism rather than showing humor.

I don't think she was honestly laughing about people being pushed off buildings. I think she laughs and smiles as part of her defense mechanisms, to mask other expressions. Whether she knew what Trump was saying when her auto defenses kicked in is another matter.

If you look at the video, her laughing/smirk starts before Trump has really said "off buildings" and then it continues until she forces the smile down.

There *appears* to be some sort of emotional disconnect/delay going on, for whatever reason - stress, brain focused on debate or other causes. If you watch her speech and reactions today at the Al Smith charity dinner, you can see some of the same things when she is reacting.

I haven't researched whether she has made any special efforts or not to condemn these actions or do anything specific about them. The money from the Saudis is nothing. Soros and other donors could and would replace it without blinking.

Whether she cares or not about those thrown off buildings, hung from cranes etc, she could at least pretend to care.

I also tend to smile quite broadly when I'm being publicly shamed. The more intense the shaming, the deeper the smile. I've always wondered why I still do that; it's basically an automatic reaction. Not that I'm really confused about why I started doing it. It's a bad habit, really.

You see, as far as I can tell, I'm a sociopath. I don't usually feel negative emotions unless I choose to. The default tendancy for sociopaths tends to be self-aggrandizement, but if you look at studies, the actual research, sociopathy is a barrier to success, not an advantage. Feelings, including the negative ones, most likely exist for an extremely solid evolutionary reason; if not, why would people have them? So it behooves the scientifically-minded sociopath to get with the feeling program, for reals, no faking.

Which is difficult.

In any case, your automatic is my guide for my manual. But that's how it is for all sociopaths; the variable is interpretation. Whether to leave a sincere impression or a fake one, whether or not honesty is indeed the best policy. (It is, by the way.)

I recognize that broad Hillary smile a mile away. It's the reflexive smile of a sociopath hoping desperately that deep criticism will be transformed into a joke by a compliant audience. It's the silent version of spitefully laughing in your accuser's face, by hoping to infect others with your apparent sense of humor, so they can do the laughing for you, with your hands still clean.

What that smile really means is that she is angry as fuck. It's the smile of vengeance. And it is a very, very bad habit.

Just for the record, I'm not against sociopaths being successful or holding important positions. The few cases where it is potentially an asset are those where stress would overwhelm reason, when brutal decisions must be made and made quickly. But I'm extremely wary, as we all should be, of any sociopath who isn't wary of themselves.

Another possibility is always starting from a place of humor, I guess could be classified as sociopathic, you are ready with a smile and chuckle, always, and then the conversation matter is not funny, and that re-calculus of switching from a joke\small talk to brass tacks is usually pretty awkward. Happens to me all the time, I am ready to laugh and joke, and they start talking about dead kittens, and I am like haha-oh ya that's terrible.

Half defense, half I just like jokes and laughing.
