Computer Shutdown with new RX 470

Bad cards artifact. Hindsight but were you monitering temps in poe?

Maybe the card needed rivatuner or something with a fan setting, heat is about the only thing that can hard reset a comp. You can up thresholds in bios but anything around 75 is bad.

I did about 2 hours of extensive load on the card and it worked just fine. As soon as I opened PoE and loaded in it would crash within 1-2 minutes. Also, I tried 2 completely different cards of the same model and they happened on both. Overall, I'd advise not getting an RX 470 for PoE play :D

i had same problem. i think DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime do shot down problem when play a game. Use system restore to back your system to not to install directx end-user runtime.

Al rx 460-480 has big problems with driver and craching a lot of games from 5 min to 45
I run rx 470 now and one thread and dam so bad performance. My daughter got my old gtx 570 thar run poe perfect as she just got new pc with rx 470 and was crashing al time for her on many games and now iam stuck with rx 470 ;);)
