GGG locks accounts, responds politely that the team is working on it. Never unlocks it.

My first account has been locked since approx. 2016.08.28 , I've contacted support via email as instructed and got a response with outmost politeness and reasuring text. After a short discussion, I let it be for 2+ weeks. Last I checked the forums, people who got locked for more than 2 weeks - stayed locked because they were considered hackers or something of equivelent detremention.

All I did was responded to a joke in global chat to someone, who asked if people could share sites with pornography for his desperation. About 10+ people or so responded with the real deal, and so did I just for laughs (ofcourse I didn't pm him, because that was the whole point of the joke to write in in global, since it was a joke). Same day got locked. Not even muted. Locked. And then the following happened as described in the first paragraph.

People, be careful, because GGG chat watch is of pretty biased to what you mean or what was the purpose of whatever controversy you write in chat. It might just be a dot for clearing the chat from RMT bot spam, you will still probably get muted or locked if a GM saw your message.

I've never done anything dodgy and never considered on doing anything that would purposefully violate anything of the games and GGG players standarts and this is what gratitude I get. I don't feel like ever opening the global chat or be inclined to support GGG via microtransaction purchases like I intented previously after this.

If anybody can help me with feedback (and let people know about this outragous BS (yes yes, I know GGG can do whatever they want, since they are literally gods here)) I'd be very grateful and sure people should know about the possibilies of being junked by our loving GGG.

Forgot to mention. After 2 weeks have passed (3+ weeks in total) I've contacted GGG again via email. No response.

Sorry to hear about what happened to you. Ive quoted the Code of Conduct and the relevant Terms of Use paragraphs. Ive also bolded the parts that show how you violated those terms and GGG's right to terminate/restrict/lock your registered account with which you did those.

I feel for you really, and im sure the joke wasnt trying to be insulting, but in case it was reported GGG took action according to their rules which you as a player agreed upon.

Maybe it has nothing to do with that though, maybe it does, maybe they found suspicious RMT movement in your account maybe not, whatever the case, i suggest you try contacting them once more and ask if your account is perma-banned or not.

I wouldnt be very optimistic though, having read many times these kinds of terms of usage and had many similar or somewhat similar experience both with PoE and other games, companies usually have a firm stance on those matters. Not only this but if you make the effort to read such terms any time in the future, you will realise that even for 18+ rated or "for adults" games the censorship and speech prohibition is INSANE. Like every society the dishonesty is everywhere.

My regards.

I love this line. Everytime a player comes to General raging over a mute/lock this line is always sprinkled in there.

"intended".

The ultimate, "well I was going to get around to doing that as a favor for you (after years of knowing you), but forget it now you asshole" act of the internet.
"It's all clearer now
And I hear her now
And I'm nearer to
The Salvation Code"
It's obvious that if you have a pile of supporter titles you can be a complete racist homophobe sexist, harass people, insult immigrants, insult various countries/groups, insult disabled people and poor people, etc etc in chat and spew hate speech for months and all GGG will do is mute you for 30 minutes (or nothing at all).

But in the OP's case, if their story is true, 1 bad link + no supporter packs = account closed.

Double standard. I have pages of extremely offensive chat content from a heavy supporter and even after multiple reports they're still around, doing the same old.

Edit: my example is from local chat though, not global; aside from moderation bias the only other plausible explanation is that GGG can't verify/doesn't log local chat content server side (it's all in our client.txt, but there's no option to right click local chat in-game and report).

Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

One other thing to note... Support is up to their armpits in this merger with Russia. They simply don't have the process automated and are having to deal with each player individually. So stuff like yours is taking a lot longer than it usually does. Be patient.
I love how it says you're not allowed to "reference explicit material". They could be a bit more, well, explicit about what they actually mean. Explicit even has an ... explicit ... meaning in PoE itself.
Like, it's OK to talk about vaal corruptions, lab enchants and 2-tone boots, but if you link an augmentation orb or talk about poeaffix.net, it's game over?
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

what ever I posted probably didn't even have a .com or .net ending that would even make it obvious, though I don't remember. What I'm sure of, is that there wasn't any actual letter combination of "porn" in my text because I clearly remember trying to be original about the joke, so I'm sceptical that my consequence was valid even by those terms, because they have no proof that I was actually refering to illegal content or whatever, unless I had something lke ".com" in the end..... Also, I highly doubt that the other 10+ peope who replied before and after me to the joke (which made me believe that I was safe to participate in the joke as well)got the same or even any consequences at all. This is very frustrating bs.
