Yeah you are right it's not working, it just came to my mind back then.

Well you can still use:
Enlighten, Frost Bite or Inc. Aoe.

But don't stress yourself to fill that empty gem slot. just focus on finding a good way to generate power charges when you need them, if not already using the brinderot flag / warcry method.

EDIT: What about Increased Duration for Onslaught? that might be a really nice option :)

hmm I'm going to try for level 96 before I do any bossing, but right now i have cwdt/ic/phase run in wand, enlighten3/onslaught/hoi/ice bite in boots. Only issue with 2 lvl 3 enlightens i have 94 mana. No currency for lvl 4s, but it might be viable if I did. Never tried inc aoe because it's 140% 10 more than ice bite

And yes, I have brinerot in swap for harder bosses.

What colors give highest DPS on QoTF? 4 or 3B ?

You need to hit a certain threshold of Crit. Multi. on gear to make Slower Proj. better.
Since it's easier to get 3b2g1r, i would stick to it.

Path of Building will tell you exactly which Gem is better, since it's depended on your current gear setup.

I know that feel, just take it easy and grind without the mindset to level. OR just take a break :D don't get burned out.

Maybe switch to good rare Gloves? You will lose dps but you get more Life.
Simple improve what you can for the budget you have.

Been following another wander guide however in order to obtain any upgrades i will need another 100ex.

I have abt 50ex and i would really like to do shaper and guardians.

I can buy the rat's nest helmet however my dmg right now is very low.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?
