[2.6] The Quadfire Chieftain - 275k+ DPS Fire everywhere! Searing RF Ray Firestorm
What would you use as your 4L setup before you can get a 5L in the new league? Thanks for a very interesting looking build, gonna run with this in Breach :)

" Just use Scorching Ray with 3 supports: SR - Elemental Focus - Controlled Destruction - Faster Casting. You dont care much about not completely killing all packs during fast leveling. When you get your 5L, you can switch faster casting for CoCH and add Firestorm. |

What do you think about going Inquisitor instead of Chieftain? I don't know if you'd still be able to run RF, but on its own the ascendancy seems to offer so much more. And for a league starter leveling will be much smoother because you can specc early dmg and get gems more conveniently

Inquisitor would work very well and Scorching Ray, Searing Bond and Firestorm would also have more damage. BUT you would miss out the damage or RF as well as 59% MORE damage on the other three skills. So all in all Chieftain might be the same DPS. On the other hand you would be more vulnerable to damage and you would have less life as Inquisitor. The movement speed would be higher and you would clear faster.
Tree and gear would almost be the same. You would take a little less Regeneration and use another shield though. Quick Tree Lv 89 Less life, more damage... Maybe we can put it this way: Chieftain = HC, Inquisitor = SC :) Последняя редакция: raggapaul#2152. Время: 2 дек. 2016 г., 09:51:46

i was calculating the RF damage you get,
75+4+8+1=88% fire resist 8.9% life regen from tree gets you on 96.9% any good way to lower the last 3.1% outside of endurance charges? |

Sorry, dont quite get your question. Link to RF damage / second calculation. We have 8,9% Regeneration before Endurance charges. With 88% Resistance we lose 10,8% life per second - check the link. Means we need 1,9% life per second from other sources. This should be easily acquired by the 2% leech from warlords mark. Additionally we will always have at least a few Endurance charges up.
If you really want to cover these last 1,9% with skillpoints, you would need 7 skillpoints. You would need to use the starting nodes from templar (not very efficient, adding 3 * 0,4% life reg and 15% mana reg and you take the Quick Recovery nodes for another 4 skillpoints and 0,8 life reg. I actually thought about using this cluster in case of severe mana problems but I will have to test it. |

Well I guess running Scorching ray - CwC - Firestorm isnt an option anymore? Seems like Scorching ray - CwC - Flame surge is okayish tho.

Did some testing, Firestorm casts at the end of the Ray, so close enemies dont receive any damage. Will do further testing, but for now I think about switching to SRS.

Why are you not going Blood Magic in this setup? Could you by chance make a section where you talk about how you could modify this build to take Blood Magic (keystone)?
I would just think if you're going RF and aren't using any auras (Warlord's Mark leech shouldn't work with degens/burns, right? I might be wrong) you will have a large amount of life regen to sustain Blood Magic, plus the extra HP will boost survivability, dmg to RF, and regen even further. Последняя редакция: Nicksiren#6476. Warlords mark works for the linked skills (Cast while Channeling). And we need the extra fire resistance from Purity Aura and two Curses linked to Blasphemy will boost our damage A LOT. So I doubt Blood magic will work with this build. Feel free to prove me wrong :)
