There's guild officer called Nemesis87, which has about perfect Golemancer gear, but has chars set to private. If you can get glimpse of hes gear, you can see perfect Golemancer. Has about 14k+ EHP and almost 4-5k ES regen per sec. I hope this gives some ideas :)
Sotl gives 100% increased defenses for both, so the amount should be decent.

Sounds insane, could u post a POB with his gear or gear that mimics this?
Im at the point in the league where I managed to gather a shiton of currency so going to try a golem build and bring it to the edge of what is possible.

1) Have you played Necromancer variant earlier?
Yes. I started with POE since 3.2 (Diablo became too boring) and my first char was your Necro build with the TVs. But then I quitted 3.4 to 3.6 and started again with 3.7 due to lack of time (and copied your build^^). So my following answers might be quite inaccurate because of the time gap in game experience...

1.1) If you have, how does Pledge variant compare to it in :
1.1.1) Clear-speed?
Most time I play with TS MF Windripper build. So it's incredible slow *g* Can't remember whether it's now a little bit faster or slower in comparison to old Necro build...

1.1.2) Boss damage?
I tried Über Elder 3 or 4 times and Über Atziri 1 or 2 times in 3.3 and failed every time. With this build I killed them each at my first try (Elder with 5 deaths and Atziri with 4 deaths, so quite close). I also did my first successful Chayula run (failed in 3.3). But for this I started with my Windripper build and then switched to this build to kill the boss (otherwise I would have failed due to lack of clear-speed quite sure). At all it's everything better noe. But I don't know whether the reason is the new build or better equipment (this costs me around 20-30ex, old one was around 5ex).

1.1.3) Defense?
I'm not sure, see 1.1.2

1.1.4) Utility?
?

2) Have you tried playing with and without Primordial Might?
Yes, tried both.

2.1) If you have, how does playing without Might compare to playing with it?
As written above, with Might is better for mapping/clear-speed, without for boss fights.

3) How much currency have you spent approximately on the gear currently (if not private info)?
20-30ex. I bought everything new excapt for the flasks and the jewels.

4) Overall feel for the variant?
4.1) Good parts?
Boss killer.

4.2) Parts that could be improved?
Clear-speed. But if neccessary I clear with Windripper and then kill the boss with Golemancer ;-)

5) Improvement ideas for the variant?
I'm still quite new to this game and have only a clue about Ranger but not about Witch, so I can't answer and will continue reading here :-)

"
PS: Do you have Arcane Vision to better notice when you are in danger?

Hey and thanks for answering ^^

I actually tested the clear-speed today and did some adjustments to the build.

I replaced Combustion with Elemental Focus for now. In theory it does bit less damage against bosses, but it does lot more damage to trash mobs in first wave. Mobs were dying with 1-2 waves when running t16 map, which is faster than with combustion.

Arcane vision was actually left over form the time when I tested Zealotry on bloodmagic for my guildmate. It was useless node now, thanks for notice!

I also got +1 curses Chain, so I could put extra nodes on either HP and curse effectiveness or extra Harmony. I will put them for Skittering Runes for now, as survival seems more important that raw DPS increase.

Hi :)

He has been offline for a while, got probably tired of the league. You can add him as friend and PM about gear when hes online at least at the beginning of next league.

Hes gear is basically mirror, stacked on top of mirror on top of mirror. Full legacy set on every piece of gear available and top rolls on every other item. He runs about 600 ES shield, legacy ES rings, perfect Watchers eye with Discipline lines + mana from Clarity and I thing he has perfect Harmonies + 21/23 gems on everything.

UPDATE

PLEDGE VARIANT CHANGES

- Replaced "Combustion" with "Elemental Focus" on Flame Golems links for much faster clear-speed as Golems deal now much higher damage on first wave they shoot
- Dropped "Arcane Vision" node, was left from earlier setup by mistake
- Bought "+1 additional curse" Primordial Chain and removed the extra curse nodes to Skittering Runes. Extra curse nodes have to be kept of not using +1 curse Primordial Chain
- Phase Run can be leveled as high as Dexterity lets it go. Each level gives more movement speed, so it's always useful

How is the tankiness of the pledge version against end game legion, bosses and betrayal?

I have enough curr to convert my current flame golem build into this just don't want to spend all that curr just to constantly get 1 shotted
Very simple and noobish question:

I've been using abbreviated Golemancer support builds for my Necros.

Recently, I've tried multiple different golems to stack defensive bonuses. However, I noticed I'm not receiving a multiple-type bonus stack.

What I mean is that, I understand that if you have multiple of the SAME golem, the bonuses don't stack. HOWEVER, I'd always been told that bonuses do stack if using different types. So two stone golems would not provide +220 regen, but a Stone Golem and another Golem should? Same would go for the physical reduction on Chaos Golems, etc.

Now, I thought maybe I'd had this wrong and that there's no stacking at all, but I've been searching the wiki, the forums, reddit, and so on and the only comments I can find again say that bonuses from multiples of the SAME golem do not stack. Plus, when I look at the golem gems themselves, they very clearly state "your golemS", plural, which seems to indicate they should stack with multiples (or different sorts)?

So which is correct? And if the bonuses NEVER stack, why do the jewels use a pluralized description of the respective buffs?

Hello :)

Build is not much tankier than Necro variant. It has good amount of EHP, 18% block chance, blinds enemies, easily capped resistances and immunity to lot dangerous status effects. Knockback from curse + hinder + Temporal Chains keeps most melee enemies away from you. However it has 0% armor like Necro variant and is not stun immune.

If you are good at kiting and re-positioning yourself in the fights, I'd say it's pretty safe to play against 90% of the content. Minotaur + Legion archers are very dangerous, but you can kite / avoid them. If going with Shavs wrappings chaos damage is not as dangerous and makes betrayal enemies easier than with Necro variant. Build feels pretty safe to play and have less deaths than with Necro variant using Charity.

If you like Flame Golems in general I can recommend trying this variant after Necro variant. It has some similarities with Necro, but is less restrictive with gear like with armor and helmet. You can easily tweak the build for your own taste by adding armor / evasion items or change utility skills.

Hey :)

I don't think that Golems bonuses to player can ever stack from adding more / additional Golems.

Primordial Eminence has line "30% increased Effect of Buffs granted by your Golems" which is about the only way to increase the buff outside of straight raising Golems level.

For Example Stone Golem has line "Golems grant (33-105) Life Regenerated per second" which from what I understand means that each Stone Golems grants the same aura, but it cant stack like Auras from multiple players don't Stack in party. The line is terrible worded, but Poe has never been easiest game to understand by just reading.

LOL, ain't that the truth...
hi Mika
thanks for the build, it's fantastic.
just one question: i am going with the necro one, following your guide and i would like to know if the PoB is updated with gem links and equip, because i noticed in the guide that you mention shield charge, bur there is not shield charge gem in the PoB.

Thanks and I will surely join the guild.
cheers M
Hi.

How can I make better life/es in Legion? At this moment standing in 3,4k l/ 3,3k ES. I drop Aspect of the spider, and use Flesh and Stone. Feels much better. Can I use other curse with temp chain?

Hello and thanks for support ^^

PoB is indeed up to date. There was one mention of Shield Charge left in leveling section, but pretty important one. Fixed it, thanks for notice!

Hi :)

You EHP (HP + ES) comes directly from your gear. Your Rings and helmet don't have any ES at the moment, and ES is your most important stat to stack on each item.

Good values are :
- Helmet (150+ ES, 80+ HP, reduced mana reserved, minion life, resistances, Int)
- Rings (40+ ES, 40+ HP, resistances, Str, Dex, minion speed)

You should be able to reach near 8k EHP with the changes. If you want more EHP, you can always change armor for rare ES armor. Death's Doors can also be changed for much higher ES rare ones.

It's about finding balance between Utility from uniques <-> raw EHP with the gear. each unique gives less EHP, but adds something else on the build. You can create pretty high EHP by going for all high ES rares on each item slot that can be swapped.

If the helmet with mana reserved and minion life is hard to get, you can spam Deafening Essence of Loathing on rare ES helmet for the ES lines and mana reduce. I'm not sure if minion really need the minion life support, so it's added purely as backup safety. I got my own helmet on first try when I used it on white helmet with good enchantment, so if your lucky you can get decent helmet for low cost.

Flesh and Stone seems pretty decent alternative for Spider. You lose DPS, but gain much more protection against legion archers, which are probably this leagues most dangerous enemies.

Hi Mika

thank you for your reply, much appreciated. i have a question on the animated guardian: if I setup the guardian gem on a +2 level to minions + empower + minion life and minion damage and I summon him, can i then remove this setup amd put the animate guardian in an unset ring? the guardian will still benefit from the summoning setup?

thanks M
